Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
I had a rough work week (extremely busy and also picking up work from a fellow employee who left the company), so I’m glad it’s finally the weekend. The hubby is still in Brazil and will be home in a few days. Meanwhile, he’s seen some very cool animals and taken some amazing photos. I’m sharing my favorite of the ones I’ve seen so far below. It’s an extremely rare Maned Wolf, and he’s thrilled to have seen it. It’s an appropriately scary looking animal for upcoming spooky season, let me know what you think! And I hope everyone is doing well and having a great week. If you are affected by Hurricane Helene in the U.S. I hope you are OK!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
Finishing out September, I’ll have a review for Out of the Drowning Deep tomorrow, and look for my thoughts on The Hitchcock Hotel later in the week. I have a lot of September releases that I wasn’t able to get to, so I’ll be trying to catch up AND trying to read my October books too. After I finish The Hitchcock Hotel, I’m probably going to read Tiny Threads and The Undermining of Twyla and Frank next.
Other posts this week:
Monday is the last day of September (!) so look for my Reading Wrap-Up post tomorrow; Tuesday I’ll be sharing my October TBR, so stop by for What’s On My Plate; and Wednesday is Future Fiction per usual.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:

Thanks Stormi!
That’s a fantastic view of a maned wolf, and now I understand the name. It also has such long legs compared to the wolves I’m more familiar with. Fantastic work, Moses! And I hope work slows down a bit for you, Tammy. We need more reading time, right? 🙂
We definitely need more reading time! I hope we both get it:-)
That is an incredible photo! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a maned wolf before. Your husband’s photos are also so amazing! Wishing you a great week!
Thanks Lisa! I have more amazing photos I’ll be sharing in the coming weeks.
That wolf is so cool looking! Those long skinny legs! Thanks for sharing that picture. You’ve got some good books again, can’t wait till I have time to go check out the reviews. Hope you have a good week!

Thanks Lisa, you too!
I had no idea what to picture for a maned wolf but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t that, lol.
Hope you have a good week!
LOL I know what you mean;-)
I hope this week goes more smoothly. I’m glad our area of NC was missed by the hurricane but it’s bad out there. That wolf has such long legs!

His legs are super long!
That Maned Wolf is superb! And even if you were very busy you did better than I with all your posts! Let’s hope next week will be better Tammy!
Isn’t he? Cute and weird at the same time, almost like a cartoon:-)
I hope they replace your ex coworker soon! The mane wolf looks amazing, and you and your husband managed to introduce me to an animal I didn’t know! Good luck with catching up with ALL THE BOOKS 😉

Thanks Roberta! I had never heard of the Maned Wolf either.
Maned wolf! I would’ve guessed a hyena because of the long legs! How cool he got to see one live, and in person!
It does look like a hyena:-)
I keep seeing Out of the Drowning Deep everywhere now, after seeing it for the first time last week. I know basically nothing about it but just running into it on the library and by chance online is making me tempted to check it out. XD I hope it was good!

Me too!
Looks like you have a lot of exciting things planned for this week. I love that picture of the wolf – although at first I thought it was a weird looking fox.

It does sort of look like a fox. Crazy, right?
That’s a great picture with the wolf and it’s raised hackles – my dog does this, stands at the front window with a long line of raised fur down her back, she makes me laugh because she’s really quite a sweetie.
