Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
The weather here is wonderfully cool all of sudden, and I’m loving it. Hubby is going on a photo trip to the Grand Canyon this week, so hopefully I’ll have some photos to share next weekend. Speaking of which, Labor Day is coming up and I have a long four-day weekend, yay:-) I hope everyone reads something good this week!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I started The Mercy of Gods, and then realized I wouldn’t be able to finish it this weekend and write a review for Monday. So I switched over to Glass Houses, which is very short and I’m really enjoying it so far. Hopefully I’ll get reviews of both books up this week. I may try to also squeeze in Crypt of the Moon Spider, a very short novella that comes out this week. And then, it’s time to dive into September releases! (and I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find out I have a LOT of them to read) I’m starting with Pay the Piper, a September 3rd release.
Other posts this week:
Wednesday is Future Fiction as usual, so stop by to see some awesome new covers! And Saturday I have a double wrap-up post for my July and August reading. Otherwise, I’m trying to get two or three reviews up to close out the month.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Over-Booked [198] – August Book Haul
Key Lime Sky by Al Hess – Review 3/5 stars
Time’s Agent by Brenda Peynado – Review 4/5 stars
A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher – Review 4/5 stars

I bet Moses will create some fantastic photos while at the Grand Canyon. It’s such an amazing location. And that emu kind of gets your attention, doesn’t it? Have a great week, Tammy!
He told me today that the Grand Canyon is so big he doesn’t know where to start, lol.
I felt the same way when I visited. Looking at photos of it is great, but the only way to fully appreciate the scope is to visit.
It’s been oddly cool here in northern VA for the past week, too…it was lovely, but today marks back-to-normal temps in the high 80s trending toward hotter. Honestly, I’m fine with it…I need more from our garden! James S.A. Corey were at the National Book Festival that I went to yesterday…I haven’t read anything by them, but wow do they have a lot of books!
I hope the warmer temps do great things for your garden:-)
I’m looking forward to those cooler temps. We had a bit this week but it won’t be regular until mid-September. So many good books to read and not enough time!
Exactly! There are so many Fall releases, what are we going to do?? lol
I don’t read a lot of horror/thriller, but Glass Houses caught my eye! Glad you liked it, maybe I’ll check it out down the road!
It was crazy but a fun read:-)
The Grand Canyon? It’s so beautiful there so I am sure he’ll have a fantastic trip!
I’m sure he will, I’ve never been so I’m a little jealous:-)
Love the Emu! I can’t believe August is almost over!!
I can’t either!
I know you have so many reviews I still need to read. Being back in school is totally cutting out my time to go read reviews. Ugh. I can’t wait to see the pictures your husband gets in the Grand Canyon. The emu pic is wonderful! Have a good week, oh and I’m jealous you get four days for Labor Day weekend!
I took an extra day off this Friday:-) Have a great week!
Them Grand Canyon pictures are gonna be soooo cool! Happy reading, Tammy!
Thanks Lashaan! I’m excited to see if he finds any animals there.
I wish it was cool here. I’m envious. I hope you have a good week!
I hope your weather gets cooler soon… Have a great week!
Yes, already preparing for a new reading month!

Me too, I’ll be sharing my September TBR next Monday.
It starting to get cool here. Need to plant my fall garden soon.
Have a great week.
Oh fun. Fall garden sounds like veggies maybe? Have a good week:-)
I’m hoping to start some September reads as well.
Can’t wait to see your hubby’s pics.
Lynn
There are a lot of great sounding September books, can’t wait:-)
What an adorable emu! I really want to read Pay the Piper.
I’m excited to read a new Daniel Kraus book:-)
I struggled with The Mercy of Gods too but I’m glad to hear Glass Houses is keeping your interest. That might be my next read!
