Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
It’s back to school season, and I find myself missing those years my kids were in K-12. Is anyone going back to school, or have kids going back to school soon?
Things are business as usual here, there’s nothing really new to report, other than I have a nice weekend with no commitments, and I’ve been reading a lot:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I had a lot of fun with Heads Will Roll, and my review will be up tomorrow. I’m currently reading Key Lime Sky, which is a fun, cozy sci-fi with aliens and you guessed it, pie! I’m trying to mood read this month, and The Unmothers and A Sorceress Comes to Call are both books I’m excited to get to.
Other posts this week:
I may try to put together a Top Ten Tuesday post (books about travel or with modes of transportation on the cover); I have some exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; and other than that, I don’t have anything planned, except for reviews.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
We Love the Nightlife by Rachel Koller Croft – Review 4.5/5 stars
Ghost Mother by Kelly Dwyer – Review 5/5 stars
Awww the baby raccoon is soooo cute!! And I am curious to know what you would think of A Sorceress Comes To Call!!
He is so cute:-)
Key Lime Sky, nice! 🙂 Look at that little raccoon.
I thought it was too late in the summer for babies, but I guess not:-)
My kids are both grown ups too so no back to school for me either! I am curious to know what you’ll think of A Sorceress Comes to Call! And that baby raccoon is so cute!
I am going to read it one of these days, lol. Definitely this month.
That Racoon is so cute!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Thanks Stormi, you too:-)
Don’t let the baby raccoon fool you; they are smart with mischief. Excellent that you have a weekend with no commitments. Enjoy!
I’m sure they are!
My stepdad would have loved the picture of the baby raccoon, he always had to tell us stories about the one he had as a pet when he was a kid. Yeah, we’re getting ready for students to come back to school on the 21st! I’m hoping for a much better year, but we’ll see! I’m wanting to do the Top 10 this week too, love the theme, but will see if I have time! Hope you have a good week!

I managed to pull together a top ten this week, yay me:-) I’ve seen accounts on Instagram with pet raccoons and they are adorable!
The Unmothers and Ghost Mother is making me very scared of mothers and I had to stop and wonder if Mother’s Day was coming up!
And awww, what a sweet picture of the baby raccoon! They are the cutest!

Lots of “mother” themed books right now, lol, even though it’s not quite the right time of year:-)
I’m starting school again on the 21st. One of these days, I’ll finally get my Bachelor’s. It’s been a LONG time coming.
I hope your kids have a great school year and that they’re able to accomplish all the goals they make.
Have a great week! And, thank you for stopping by my blog!

Good luck with school this year!
I grabbed A Sorceress Comes to Call as soon as I saw it — love T. Kingfisher’s work. When I get round to it though might be a different thing. Hope you enjoy!

I’ve heard nothing but good things about A Sorceress Comes to Call, so fingers crossed:-)
Omg what a cute raccoon! Mood reading is the best…I’m on my third month of it & it’s been nice to not feel too much weight of ARC duties hanging over me…though I do have ARCs to read.
I’m mood reading my ARCs, lol. That’s sort of the same right? 😉
Yesterday was my daughter’s first day back to school. She seems happy with her classes–as happy as she can be, though she’s wishing it was summer again already. LOL I can’t wait to read Key Lime Sky and am glad you are enjoying it! Ghost Mother sounds really good! I will have to look for that one. I hope you have a great week, Tammy!
What a cute baby!
I love your August motto of reading what you want! I’ve heard fun things about Key Lime Sky. Looking forward to your reviews for all of these!
We live right near an elementary school and it’s always fun to see all the kids heading back and all the parents walking them up. I always love the quiet we get during the summer, but sometimes it’s nice to be able to hear the kids having fun outside during the school days, also. I love the raccoon!

Mood reading is a good idea. I think I have a couple of quieter months coming up so maybe I can also do a little mood reading.
