Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
It’s a holiday week, and I have Thursday and Friday off work, which makes me very happy:-) I hope everyone else has some time off too.
My dog Badger finds something on every single walk and carries it around for awhile, sometimes bringing it home. He’s found dozens of lost balls, water bottles, and one time even a chair leg. And of course, he loves sticks. This is a good one! Have a good week and I hope you read some good books:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I’m scrambling to read a few more June releases, even though tomorrow is July! Later this week look for a review of The Nature of Disappearing, which I devoured in a couple of days, I loved it. I’m currently reading Two Sides to Every Murder, and then I’m diving into my July books. Wilderness Reform comes out this week, so that will probably be first. Then it’s time for one of my highly anticipated summer books, I Was a Teenage Slasher.
Other posts this week:
Tomorrow is July 1st, so check back to see my July TBR! On Tuesday, I’m sharing my Most Anticipated Books of the Third Quarter; Wednesday I have some exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; and Saturday I’ll post my latest book haul.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston – Review 4/5 stars
We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer – Review 4.5/5 stars
Twelve Highly Anticipated Books for the Second Half of 2024
Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman – Review 4.5/5 stars
Love this week’s pic of Badger. He looks very pleased with his stick.
Looking forward to your review for Two Sides to Every Murder. 😀

He was so proud of that stick, it’s still around here somewhere:-)
Hope you get a lot of time to rest, Tammy! Definitely jealous of the holiday week. 🙂 And yay for Badger looking like such a good boy! 😀

Thanks Aimee!
Badger the poser LOL. It would be nice if he were able to find some lost wallet! 😉
Enjoy your free days!

Ha ha he is posing! OMG he might find a wallet some day, you never know:-)
Having a short work week is almost always something to look forward to! I love seeing these periodic photos of Badger. They grow so fast, don’t they? And that baby quail is gorgeous and made me smile. It reminded me of how I felt when I saw a small group of baby woodcocks on the ground. Moses has some amazing wildlife experiences.
I’m not even stressed about work this week! And yes, Moses spends a LOT of time going out in early mornings to try to find things like baby quail. I’m glad some of that time pays off:-)
Ah, the baby quail picture makes me think of the baby robins I found in my yard when their nest fell. And Badger found such a good stick! Enjoy the time off this week! I’m looking forward to being done with summer school now. Also looking forward to 4th of July at my brother’s house. And probably going to the movie with my dad and stepmom, taking her to see the new Despicable Me movie for an early birthday present. I’m also a bit behind on June books as I suddenly remembered one I’d forgotten to write in my planner and am starting it today, hoping to finish tomorrow!

I hope you have a great 4th with your family!
Oh, enjoy the four day weekend!! Hope you get to read some good books during it! Love the Badger pic, my dog used to love sticks when she was a puppy, but lost interest somewhere along the way. So cute!
Thanks Lisa!
Yay for Badger! Lulu tried picking up sticks but she won’t do it for years now. She’s like – why did you throw the stick if you wanted it. I’m not going to get it – you get it. lol She loves walks though! I can’t believe June is ending. Yay for a holiday break this week.
I hope Badger keeps picking stuff up even after his puppy days are over, it’s so cute.
Badger seems so proud of his find! And I want to read the Nature of Disappearing so bad! Enjoy your free days tammy!
He is always so proud when he finds something exciting:-)
Awww, Badger is such a good dog! I love him and his stick! Hope you have a great long holiday weekend.
Thanks Lisa, you too:-)
Badger is the best boy! Also with the part of chair leg I just read leg and was a little shook there for a moment lol 😛
He is the best:-) And lol about the leg;-)
Awww! Such a cute baby quail. I think dogs are so funny with the things they find on walks. He did find a great stick, though. 😀 I hope you have a great week!

Thank you! This is the first dog we’ve had that grabs stuff on walks, it’s very entertaining:-)
What a gorgeous shot of that quail! Happy reading, Tammy! 😀

Thanks Lashaan!
I have Thursday off, but not Friday, unfortunately. And I have to be up very early to be in the office–which doubly sucks and ruins any plans of catching any fireworks the night before. My mom invited us to her place to see them since she has a decent view. I may encourage my husband and daughter to go. The fireworks usually start about the time I am heading to bed. Badger is beautiful! And that really is a nice looking stick. He did well. 🙂 I read your review of A Novel Story. I am glad you enjoyed it! I am looking forward to reading it. I hope you have a great week, Tammy!

Oh no, so sorry. I feel like everyone should get Friday off. We don’t have fireworks up in the mountains, obviously it’s a fire hazard, but I do miss them. Have a great week, Wendy!
I am inundated with books but yes I’m hoping to dive into Two Sides to Every Murder as well (which I’m managing by reading several books at once) and also looking forward to Wilderness Reform! And aww, Badger is so cute!

Thank you! I’m about halfway through Two Sides to Every Murder, and it’s pretty good, but nowhere near the level of Delicate Condition.
I just received a copy of SGJ’s upcoming book. Once again, you’ll read it before I do, so let us know what you think about it.
Badger is soooo cute!!
Such a cute baby quail! Precious ♥
