Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! I’m lucky enough to spend today with my dad:-) My hubby and I are currently at my parent’s house (with Badger of course!) and braving the desert heat (over 100!) Also, I heard you last week regarding snake photos, lol. Today I have birds, please enjoy! Not much else to report, but I do hope everyone has a great week.
Upcoming reads & reviews:
How is it already halfway through June?? A bunch of my June review books will spill over into July and August, because I just have too many of them. So at this point I’m concentrating on the ones I’m most excited for. I’ll have a review of How to Make a Horror Movie and Survive, probably tomorrow. This was sort of a departure for Craig DiLouie, but I ended up really having fun with it! I’m writing this post on Friday, since I’ll be gone all weekend visiting my family, but I hope to be reading one of these books next: Grim Root, Craft or Assassins Anonymous.
Other posts this week:
On Tuesday, I’m posting my first Summer of Horror (non review) post, and it’s a fun one. I’ve created an A – Z list of some of my favorite horror books, so stop by and check it out! And Wednesday I have three new exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Unexploded Remnants by Elaine Gallagher – Review 3/5 stars
The Stardust Grail by Yume Kitasei – Review 5/5 stars
Fiasco by Constance Fay – Review 4.5/5 stars
The pic is beautiful!! And enjoy your stay at your parents!!
Thanks Susy!
I hope the heat isn’t too much and that you enjoy your stay at your parents.
It was very hot but we were inside most of the time:-)
Beautiful pic! Now that’s one I can get behind LOL. Snakes and bugs are a no-no for me…*shudders*
I’m not sure, but August should be a slower month, book-wise? I bet you can catch up with your older books before the summer is over…
Good luck with the desert heat (yikes!).
August should be lighter for sure. I’m not stressing about all the books I have to read, I’ve just decided to mood read them:-)
Some interesting books coming up on your channel! Hope you had a great day with your dad! I am always with mine as I live with him but I do not take that for grant it as he is 76 and his memory is getting a bit scary at times.
Have a great week and happy reading!

Thanks Stormi!
I’m at the last few chapters for the new DiLouie book and quite enjoying it: this author can change genres and themes from one book to the other and always turns out an engrossing story. Looking forward to your review!

It was fun!
Hope you have a nice day! Some good books and so many of your reviews I keep getting behind on! But I’ve got them saved to comment on, if the comments don’t get turned off before I get to them, which is okay, I get that! Love the picture as always!

Thanks Lisa! I don’t think I ever turn off comments.
Hope you’re having a great time with family!

Thanks Caitlin!
It’s so great you have time with your dad. The next 2 months will be hot here and it all depends on how the humidity goes. I’m not a fan of horror but it’s great you provide that for those who are. I’m more the scifi / fantasy type.
We’re going into our hot season too, but I’m going to try to enjoy it because the snow will follow…
Looking forward to the Craig DiLouie review! It feels like there are a lot of horror novels recently about the making of horror movies… I’m interested in seeing how they all turn out!
I’m going to read Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay soon, I’m curious to see how it compares to the others I’ve read.
I hope you’ve had a fantastic visit with your family! And fantastic reflected avocets (though I, personally, had no problems with the snake 🙂 ).
Thanks Todd! I’m sure there will be more snakes in the future, just for you:-)
Now those are sweet birds! I’m curious about your upcoming A-Z list of horror favorites. Have a great week!
I love these birds too:-)
Assassins Anonymous is a book I think I might end up wanting to read. Will look out for your review.
This week’s photo is very cute 😀

I just finished Assassins Anonymous and LOVED it!
I hope you’re enjoying your stay with your parents – what a contrast from where you live:)). And the pic of the avocets is lovely – I’m very fond of the species as I always think they are so dainty. Have a great week, Tammy.
Thanks Sarah! And I agree, the avocets are almost like ballet dancers:-)
Hope you had a great visit.
That photo is excellent.
