Buffy’s Corner 5/19/24 – Looking at the Week Ahead

Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D

Some of you have been asking for an updated Badger photo, so here you go! Badger is now 11 months old and still acts like a puppy, but he’s such a good dog:-)

And because I have some new followers (thank you!), I wanted to mention, in case you don’t know, that the photos I put at the end of every Buffy’s Corner post are taken by my amazing, talented husband, who is a wildlife photographer.Β  Otherwise it’s business as usual with me: work is super busy and I LIVE for the weekends, lol. I hope everyone has an excellent week!

Upcoming reads & reviews:

With less than two weeks left in May, I’m trying to squeeze in a few more May releases, but I’d also like to get a jump on my June TBR, which is frankly OUT. OF. CONTROL. I finished and loved The Silverblood Promise, so look for a review tomorrow! I’m about to finish up A Friend Indeed and The Honey Witch, so I’ll try to get reviews of both books up this week as well. After that, who knows? I have three or four May releases left, and I may grab A House Like An Accordion next.

Other posts this week:

I’m working on another Wyrd & Wonder Top Ten List (if I can pull it together!) so check in on Tuesday for that; cover reveals are still popping up like crazy, so I have three exciting books to share on Future Fiction; and I may try to fit in a Wyrd & Wonder prompt later in the week, we’ll see how it goes.

In case you missed:

My posts from last week:

The Case of the Bleeding Wall by Kasey Lansdale & Joe R. Lansdale – Review 3.5/5 stars

Thanks Stephanie! Ooh happy birthday to Cleo. We’re not sure of Badger’s exact birthday, so we may just celebrate his gottcha day instead.

  1. Badger is POSING! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ And the quail guard pic is brilliant.

Even I, who read far less books than you do, noticed that June is a crazy month this year…new releases are dropping like there’s no tomorrow…Good luck with those!

  2. I’ve been looking forward to The Silverblood Promise so I can’t wait to read your thoughts on it. And “Quail guard,” too funny! Love it. πŸ™‚

  3. I’m so happy to see Badger. I’m one of those who could see him every week. YES June is out of control. I also seem to be behind again instead of ahead. At least it feels that way – I do have reviews done for this week but I have a bunch for the following week where I haven’t read the books yet.

  4. Badger is so gorgeous! What a handsome dog, I bet he’s so much fun. My May and June TBRs are also out of control and I fear I may not catch up at this point, lol. Very excited for your thoughts on all these books! Hope you have a wonderful week. πŸ™‚
