Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Spring is bursting out all over, despite the cold weather (and as I type this, I’m waiting for yet another snow storm to blow in later today!), so here is a little glimpse at “new growth” found around town (click on photos to enlarge):
I hope everyone has a great week with lots of great reading:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I had a weird reading week. I tore through Ghost Station, but then stalled on a Letter to the Luminous Deep, which is very slow going so far. I think it’s got potential, I just have to power through. Meanwhile, I picked up a recent purchase, The Devil and Mrs. Davenport and I’m really enjoying it. This week look for reviews of Ghost Station and at least one other book, not sure which right now. And my next book will be Indian Burial Ground.
Other posts this week:
On Tuesday, I’m going to do a 1st quarter reading challenge check-in, so stop by to see how I’m doing; Wednesday I’ve got three exciting cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; and I will probably do a book haul on Saturday.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Calypso by Oliver K. Langmead – Review 4.5/5 stars
Most Anticipated Books of 2024 – Second Quarter
The Redemption of Morgan Bright by Chris Panatier – Review 5/5 stars
To say I’m looking forward to your review for Ghost Station is the understatement of the century! 😉

It will go up tomorrow:-)
Another snowstorm?? So sorry!! At least it seems like you’ll have some good books keeping you company!!
Yes, lots of good books:-)
You’re gonna get more snow? That’s crazy. Yesterday we had a comfy warm day in Belgium but it’s already 10 degrees less degrees less. The weather needs to pick a lane and stick with it. Looking forward to your post this coming week!

It’s snowing right now!!! Ugh. And the sun is out. Something is very wrong with this town, lol.
I love this time of year when leaves slowly start growing again covering the trees and bushes in that lighter green of fresh growth. And of course all the blooms. And I like that little appearance of what might be a dragonfly with the ground squirrel. 🙂
I hadn’t noticed the dragonfly, love it:-)
That ground squirrel is sooo cute! I love our east coast squirrels but tbh I’m tired of them digging in my garden beds lol.
Isn’t she sweet??
Bummer on more snow! We are still having a few cool nights. I am so ready for the warm! (Not HOT, just warm…lol) You are better than me if I was bored I would DNF, I have to many books to read to drag through a slow one…lol. Hope it gets better.

I have a lot of books to read too, but I hang in with the slow ones “just in case,” lol.
All I want now is spring only and no more snow! But the weather is crazy here too with heat on Saturday and 10 degrees celsius less a few days later! PS That ground squirrel mommy is so cute!
Me too! I dream of perfect spring weather, lol.
Ghost Station looks so good! I’m intrigued by the author’s other book too, Dead Silence. It sounds like a good one since you tore through it! At least I hope so!

I loved both of them!
I’ve moved on to spring and would not enjoy more snow in April. But I also am not excited about the 85 we will have for a few days. I want my spring with 60-70s.

I always feel Spring is the shortest season, just not long enough to really enjoy!
I hope spring arrives and stays! Lovely to see new signs of growth and greenery! Wishing you a great week.
Thanks Lisa, you too:-)
Haha, I love that photo.
Yes, my reading also stalled this week. I read one book. I contemplated DNF’ing it but this month I really wanted to complete my review books. On reflection that possible wasn’t the best choice.
Lynn 😀
LOL if it makes you feel better I doubt I’ll finish all my review books this month;-)
I was happy to hear the rain last night, although the little taste of warmer sunny weather last week spoiled me and now I am hoping it warms up again soon. I am enjoying seeing the snow on the mountains on the horizon though. I am glad you liked Ghost Station so much. There are so many books I want to read right now. And I mean literally right now. LOL Hopefully I can get to Ghost Station soon. I am anxious to hear if Letter to the Luminous Deep picks up for you as that is one I would like to read too. I hope you have a great week, Tammy!

Yes! We had one glorious warm day and now snow again, lol. But I think this might be it…I agree, it’s so hard to pick which book to read next. I usually try to read my ARCs in release order but I might abandon that this week!
Aww, the squirrel picture is so cute! I can’t believe all the snow you guys are getting this year, even this late in the year! We’re supposed to be getting warmer than usual temps this coming week. Looks like some good books, and hope you are able to finish the book that you were struggling with a little.

Can’t believe all the snow you’re still getting, but at least there are signs of spring to look forward to.
I’ve wondered about The Devil and Mrs Davenport so will look out for your review.
Have a great week 😀

A Letter to the Luminous Deep in on my TBR, the cover is stunning!
Wishing you a wonderful reading week
Oh noooo – not MORE snow!!! I think it was a brave flowering cherry on one of your photos – but the other green fluffy affair – is that some sort of catkin?? It looks very cute, anyway. As is the ground squirrel… Have a great week, Tammy:)).
Awww that a cute ground squirrel..
Have a great week.

I’ve been reading A Letter to the Luminous Deep for quite a while since it’s so slow, haha, but I’m absolutely loving it so I don’t mind too much! I’m really excited about Ghost Station and am hoping to have a chance to pick it up sometime.
I love the squirrel! 🙂
I’m reading Indian Burial Ground now – I’m really enjoying it even though it is slow, but it’s a slow that works.
