Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
I hope everyone had a good week:-) My daughter got me hooked the Netflix show You, and I’m loving it. Has anyone seen it or read the books? I want to go back and read them at some point. Otherwise I don’t have anything new to report, except the hubby is finally home from Costa Rica! (more photos next week)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I have to confess it’s not even March yet and I’m already behind with my reading. I took on way too many books in February so I’ll be playing catch up next month. This week look for my review of The Warm Hands of Ghosts. After that I’d like to cross off at least one of my early March releases, so I may read Murder Road next. And The Briar Book of the Dead and A Haunting in the Arctic are February releases that absolutely must be read, lol.
Other posts this week:
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is “Nature on the cover,” and that should be pretty easy to pull together; I have three new cover reveals to share on Future Fiction; Thursday is the last day of February (!) so look for my wrap-up post; and it’s time to look ahead to March with What’s On My Plate this Friday.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett – Review 4.5/5 stars
The Bad Ones by Melissa Albert – Review 4.5/5 stars
Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage – Review 4/5 stars
I watched YOU some time ago and I also found it quite addictive – at least for the first three seasons, because I found the fourth one somewhat boring and repetitive. Looking forward to your thoughts 🙂

Good to know, I’m so curious to see how Joe is going to keep getting away with, well you know;-)
I hope those February requests don’t prevent you from pulling from that TBR Jar every so often! 🙂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anteater except in zoos. Very cool!
I’m two for two so far with my TBR Jar:-) I’m determined to read one book each month from the jar.
I am behind on my reads too but I have to embrace the slower pace this year with changing job and all!
You have the best excuse ever!
I’ve never heard of YOU! We did watch the first episode of the live action avatar the last airbender. But I look forward to some Costa Rica photos next week! 😉
My hubby got some gorgeous bird photos, I can’t wait to share them:-)
YOU is so good! I love the show and the first book in the series. The other books are kind of “meh.” I hope you have a great week!

Good to know! I have one more episode in the first season, then I’m curious to see where it goes next. I feel like Joe needs to leave the country at this point, lol.
I didn’t know that anteaters could climb trees – but it makes sense seeing as how many ants do! Thank you for the lovely pic. And yes… there were a huge number of new releases in February, which is also biting back as far as I’m concerned as I simply haven’t been reading many arcs recently. Ah well… Have a great week, Tammy.
It’s nice to take a break from ARCs:-) Have a great week too, Sarah:-)
Great photo! I think there were a very large number of releases in February and I’m just glad we got an extra day. lol March is traditionally heavy. May and June also. I’m glad to be a bit ahead. That’s difficult with audio reviews as they often arrive close to the release date.

Thanks Anne! Yes, I looked ahead at my June and it’s full already. Oops. And I know I’ll be offered books I want to read closer to June.
I am SO behind, because there are SO MANY BOOKS this year and I was very bad about restraining myself. I’m carrying over 4 Feb arcs into March, am trying to get a jump on April, trying to do a few rereads AND not forget about the older books on my carts. It’s so much…..

I thought I was doing great turning books down (or just requesting one from an Orbit newsletter, lol) but I’m still behind too!
Yep, February was a tough month. I’ve managed to fit in my review books but partly that’s because I already read 2 or 3 before the month began.
Next month is a bit lighter too so hoping for some more backlist books.
Lynn 😀
Next month is lighter for me, but I have some hang over February books…
I haven’t read the books but I love the tv show of You. Can’t wait for the final season to see how it’ll end. February hasn’t been a great month for reading for me. I did read some good ones but also DNF’ed one. And I’m still only at the beginning of House of Flame and Shadow. Had to put it down for now to read a review book. SIGH
I hope you get to pick it back up again soon:-)
My sisters and dad loved You, I’ve never watched it. I am going to probably get behind on my review books come March or April as I look at all I’ve signed up to do! But I’m learning that if I didn’t ask for the book, and the publisher just sent it to me then I don’t feel bad about passing or DNFing if it isn’t working. Can’t wait to see more pics from your husband’s trip!

I feel the same way, surprise books I don’t feel obligated to read.
I read the first book of the You series, and I loved the first season of the TV series too. I didn’t read the other books in the series though, and the next seasons of the show started getting too intense for me so I didn’t continue. I hope you enjoy them all to the end though!

I’m definitely going to keep watching the other seasons:-)
I have not watched or read YOU. I am not a fan of second person narrative which I think YOU is and so will never read the books. Glad you are liking the show. Love the anteater pic! 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!

Yes, it is second person narrative. It took an episode or two to really get into the style, but now I’m hooked.
I think I started YOU, not sure if I finished. It was good.
Haunting in the artic looks good.

I’ve heard the first season is really good and then it sort of goes downhill. We shall see…
My husband watched YOU and really enjoyed it. I didn’t watch it with him because I have the book, I just haven’t read it yet. I’ve heard mixed things. I’m glad you’re enjoying the show.

I would like to read the book now that I’ve seen the first season, I like comparing books and shows:-)
Good luck on all your reading and reviews. That’s a lot!

Thanks Emma!
I love the anteater! Looking forward to your reviews this week. I haven’t watched You, and I assumed it wouldn’t be for me, but maybe I should reconsider.
You is very well done and acted, it’s a twisty story full of very unhealthy relationships, lol.
He saw an anteater! That’s so cool! I hope you enjoy your reads as you play catch up, Tammy! 😀

The anteater is so cute:-) Thanks Lashaan!
You is on my watchlist but haven’t got around to starting it yet.
Looks like you have some exciting books lined up, especially the Arden and St. James books, I want to read both of those. 😀
I’m about to finish the first season of You and it’s crazy!
The pic is beautiful!! And I am curious to know what you would think of The Briar Book of… I hope to read it, sooner or later! And I have tried to read You but I DNFed it. It wasn’t the right one for me, but I am happy to see that you are enjoying the show!
I’m enjoying the Briar Book of the Dead so far, although the beginning is a little slow.
I’m behind on my reads and reviews, haha. I’ve got Murder Road comng up soon too and I’m very excited for that one.
I’m glad I’m not alone;-)
I read You, but gave up on the second, similarly with the tv series.I was creeped out by the fan base that built around him.
Wishing you a happy reading week
I’m really behind too, obviously, but I do still have plans to catch up with The Warm Hands of Ghosts. I did finish Murder Road and A Haunting in the Arctic though, both great reads!
Yay for the hubs being home at last – and for his upcoming pics of course! 😉 I loved the anteater one. I didn’t know they were able to climb trees.
