Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Is there anyone out there who isn’t stuck in a heat wave right now? Our beautiful mountain area is getting up into the 90s, something we didn’t expect when we moved here. Stay cool out there!
Upcoming reads and reviews:
I’m aiming for two reviews this week but I’m a little behind with my reading, so we’ll see… Tomorrow for sure, catch my review of The Deep Sky, I loved it! I’m currently reading Silver Nitrate, and after that I’m thinking about Camp Damascus and The Sun and the Void. July is flying by and I still have so many July releases to read!
Other posts this week:
On Tuesday, I’m going to join Top Ten Tuesday, the theme is One Word Titles, which is a fun one; last week was crazy with cover reveals, so I have three exciting books to share on Future Fiction; and I might try to join in the Six in Six tag, we’ll see if I have time to pull one together.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Claws & Contrivances by Stephanie Burgis – Review 4.5/5 stars

Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates – Review 4.5/5 stars
“Is there anyone out there who isn’t stuck in a heat wave right now?”
Nope…Italy is in the throes of one as well, and there’s no end in sight. I’m dying. Temps in the 90s must be high for you, given all the snow you got last winter…
Looking forward to your review of The Deep Sky, and that bird is new to me! Beautiful pic as usual.

We’ve certainly had extreme weather since we moved up here, lol. Thanks Roberta:-)
It’s a bit warm here is as well, though it’s been worse here so I am trying not to complain to much because I prefer summer to winter. 🙂
That is a cool bird pic!
Have a great day and happy reading!

Thanks Stormi, have a great week!
Yup, it’s been pretty nasty around here, too, but that’s typical for summers here. Lots of heat and humidity. Try to hike and you’re just dripping in sweat in no time. That Secretary Bird is quite the sight! 🙂
Hopefully we’ll make it through the heat. I know cooler weather is coming:-)
We’ve been pretty humid but nothing like you. The climate and weather sure has been utter chaos. I’m afraid that is becoming the new norm. For some reason, The Sun and the Void is calling to me and I just added it to the wishlist last week. That bird is gorgeous! Hope you have a great week!
I’m afraid it’s the new norm too:-( Thanks Barb, I hope you have a great week too!
I look forward to your thoughts on The Deep Sky. I’m always interested in debuts.

It was such a great debut!
We are about like we always are in Jul-Aug, low to mid 90s. One of the reasons I chose to move to Raleigh is that being between the mountains and oceans we seem to have a smaller temperature range. Normally only 30-95 for the whole year and not much extremes. We did get down to 10 one weekend last year in December, and we did hit 100 in 2019 when I was moving, of course. We are getting more rain this summer than some years though. But the world is having some wacky weather for sure.

The weather is changing everywhere, unfortunately. I’m hoping the heat here doesn’t last too long. I love leaving my windows open, but I can’t in this heat:-(
It’s in the 70’s here right now, which is weird here for July. Usually it’s a lot more toasty. I love the sound of The Parliament…

Wow you’re lucky! Enjoy the cool weather:-)
Gorgeous photo! Looking forward to this week’s reviews!
Thanks Lisa!
The heat wave was last week here and I was lucky to be in London at that time!
Sounds like you missed it!
I’ll probably read, “Silver Nitrate,” before I read, “The Sun and the Void.”

Silver Nitrate is starting out pretty slow, lol. I hope it picks up!
The Secretary Bird photo is gorgeous 😀
Will look out for your Six in Six post. I’ve seen a few and been tempted but I don’t think I’ve read enough to have variety in my answers.

I was trying to put the Six in Six post together and it’s harder than I thought! We’ll see if it actually happens, lol.
I’m stuck in the heatwave, and I hate everything right now. 🙁

Oh no, so sorry. It really is miserable in so many places right now:-(
The world definitely seems to be hotting up doesn’t it.
I’m about a third into Silver Nitrate and there has just been a rather ‘creepy’ development.
