Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
My globe trotting husband is currently on a trip in Tanzania, and I’m expecting to share a lot of African animal photos in a couple of weeks, so stand by for that! Otherwise, I’m enjoying a few days off from work and trying to catch up with my reading. I hope everyone is having a good weekend:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:My
It’s the last week of June, and my main goal is to finish and post a review of Gods of the Wyrdwood. I’m currently about 2/3 of the way through so I think that goal is totally doable. And tomorrow I’ll be posting an early review of Mothtown, which doesn’t come out until November. After that I’m jumping into my July releases, starting with Boys in the Valley and Dead of Winter. July is going to be awesome, I can’t wait!
Other posts this week:
After a couple of slow blogging weeks, this one’s going to be packed. Tuesday I’m joining Top Ten Tuesday and sharing my Most Anticipated Books for the 2nd Half of 2023; stop by on Wednesday for a couple of super exciting cover reveals on Future Fiction; Friday I’ll be wrapping up the month with my June Reading Wrap-Up; and can you believe it? Saturday is July 1st and I’ll be sharing What’s On My Plate.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Open Throat by Henry Hoke – Review 3/5 stars
Wow, Tanzania. I bet he’s going to see so many amazing things. I’d love to see some photos.
I’ll be sure to post some soon:-)
I’m very curious about Dead of Winter. And those African animal photos. 🙂
So far I’ve only seen one photo on Facebook, a selfie of my husband with an elephant in the background:-)
Oh excited to see some pics from Tanzania! Hope he has an amazing time.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
Thanks Stormi, you too!
Damn Tammy your husband is really becoming THE international animal photographer! He’ll soon have his pictures in national Geographic!
Honestly that is his dream! I think he could do it too, he just needs some luck:-)
Looks like some good books you’re reading soon! Can’t wait to check out the reviews. And wow, Tanzania? Can’t wait for those pictures!

I might be able to share a photo in next week’s post, but if not the week after for sure.
Tanzania sounds so cool! I can’t wait to see what awesome animals he’s captured through his photos. 😀 Happy reading, Tammy!

Thanks Lashaan! I can’t wait as well:-)
Too bad you couldn’t go along on the Africa trip! Looking forward to seeing pictures. Have a great week!
As tempting as a trip to Africa sounds, it’s just not for me. The shots, the malaria pills, the 18 hour flight…no thanks!
Tanzania has a lot of great animals. Jane Goodall has done work there. I also can’t believe how fast June has disappeared.

I think that’s why he decided to go there, because he knew he’d get to see lots of animals.
Tanzania! Can’t wait to see the pics

Thanks Emma!
Wow, I would love to see photos of Tanzania. And the book list is awesome!
Thank you! I know my hubby is seeing plenty of animals, so it will be fun to see all the photos when he returns:-)
I’m looking forward to reading all 4 of those upcoming reviews. Some of those books have been on my TBR for some time.
I know what you mean, sometimes it feels like forever that a book has been on my TBR!
Enjoy your time off, hope your books are all great. Can’t wait to see photos from Tanzania.
I can’t wait to see photos from Tanzania too;-)
Looks like some exciting books coming up this week and this year is flying by so fast!
It really is, I kind of wish it would slow down:-)
Ooooo Tanzania!! We were supposed to go there February of 2020 (ahem) as the second part of our international trip. But we had to head back unexpectedly due to an illness, so we never got to see it. T_T We were so sad. Safari trips are so amazing (if that’s what your husband is doing).
