This is my saddest post of the year! But also it gives me something to strive for. The ten books below are my biggest regrets from last year, books I was excited to read but I just didn’t have time. Maybe I can squeeze them in this year?
Have you read any of these? Which one should I read first?

Don’t be so hard on yourself Tammy, the year’s only a week old;) Incidentally, I haven’t read any of these, so how good could they be lol
LOL, well if Will hasn’t read them… 🙂
I haven’t had the chance to read any of these yet either.. I hope we’ll both like it.
Me too!
Legends and Lattes was one of my favorites last year. Also, you had one or two things going on last year, so, you know, you do what you can do.
Legends and Lattes ended up on so many best of lists, I can’t wait:-)
I have Malfi’s Ghostwritten lined up for one of my next reads: it took me some time before I discovered this author, but now I have my radar firmly pointed in his direction 😉

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it:-)
I’ve read The Hacienda and enjoyed it. It has a Gothic vibe that I really liked. I want to read the Chuck Wendig sequel but haven’t picked up a copy yet just because I’m sure it’s a brick like the first book, lol.

It is a brick, lol. I think that’s one reason I’m hesitating:-)
I can totally relate but once you’ve settled into your new home your reading will pick up again and hopefully you can fit some of these in.
Lynn 😀
I’m hoping that happens:-)
The only one I can speak to is Wayward. I’ve not finished it yet, and though it has a bit of a slow beginning, it ramps us nicely and gets right back to the same kind of action, mystery and suspense of the first book. At about 86% of the way through it I’m having a great time. Of the others I’m most looking forward to trying Legends & Lattes and Ghostwritten. And I won’t even bother trying to list the books I’d hoped to get to last year… too many to count. 🙂
So great to hear, Todd. Wayward is one of my biggest regrets…
I didn’t get around to Legends and Lattes, either! I keep hearing how fantastic it is, and now I’m worried I’ve built it up to something extraordinary in my head.
Oh I know that feeling too. I guess we’ll find out, maybe? 🙂
One of my former students loved Our Wives Under the Sea. I took her recommendation and read and loved it.
Oh thank you for letting me know! I’m excited to read it:-)
Ghostwritten by Ronald Malfi was exceptionally well written. And the novellas tie in such subtle ways. I really enjoyed the read.
Good to know! Malfi is brilliant, in my opinion.
The Hacienda and Legends & Lattes would be on my regrets list too! I still do want to read them. Soon, maybe?? The only one here I’ve read is Lavender House, and I loved it.
Lavender House is going to be one of the first I read:-)
Oh! I misread for a second and thought these were books that had disappointed you – phew that they’re just books to still enjoy 🙂
I can see how my title is confusing!
I hope you’ll be able to read them this year! I’m really curious about several of these so I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them, especially Legends & Lattes!

I feel like the last person to read Legends and Lattes:-)
Squeeze on in a month and you got it! 🙂

Yes! Can you make that happen? lol
I have a long list of regrets myself. I’m reading Wayward slowly. I probably will read the Eason book when I get around to binging that series.

I keep hearing good things about Wayward, I’m going to try to get to it soon.
I haven’t read any of these books . The Witch in the Well sound interesting.

It does, and I love the author.
Reading regrets? Oh no, don’t be so hard on yourself! It just means you have more fun books to look forward to this year.:-) From what I’ve heard, I think you’d like The Hacienda, so my vote is you start with that one.

Good call, The Hacienda will definitely be a priority:-)
Many of these I wish I’d read too. For me there’s also Wanderers, which one of these days I really must get around to 😀

I’m so mad at myself for not reading Wayward yet…
Oh my gosh, I have so many “regrets” too, the books I didn’t read that I wish I did could probably fill an entire shelf. I really do hope you get a chance to get to Ghostwritten though, I don’t even do novellas/short stories and I loved that one. I also kick myself for not getting to It Rides A Pale Horse, but I guess there’s still time!
I’m going to make Ghostwritten a priority:-)
I have a few of thsse on my tbr too although the main one is definitely Hacienda. I’m mostly meant to be focusing on books I own but I’m pretty sure that I’ll be borrowing that one from the library this year regardless.
I hope we both get the chance to read the Hacienda:-)
The Hacienda and Dead Water are both on my TBR. I haven’t read any of these yet though! Happy reading!
Thanks Molly!
I need to draft my regret list this afternoon. I inhaled Dead Water and I squeezed Our Wives Under The Sea at the end of the year, but I too still need to go back for Legends & Lattes, The Witch In The Well (how have neither of us read this yet? SHOCKER) and Lavender House. Here’s to catching up!

Shockingly, I have read one of these!!!! Legends and Latte. THis was a feel good book so I hope you’ll get to read it this year Tammy!
I have read only one of these, and I loved it! Legends & Lattes is a sweet and cozy book (but be warned, you need to prepare beforehand and have a provision of sweets nearby!).
Also, there are always so many interesting books around and the time is simply not enough!!
I didn’t get to LAVENDER HOUSE, either… because my library takes about three months to process a book after it arrives Hopefully we can both enjoy it this year, haha.
