The Friday Face-Off was created by Books by Proxy, where each week bloggers can showcase books with covers centered around a weekly theme. You can visit Lynn’s Books for a list of upcoming themes. Join in the fun each Friday by finding a book whose cover is based on the theme!
This week’s theme: Red cover
Today I’m featuring the middle book in one of my favorite science fiction series, The Trials of Koli. I found four different covers on Goodreads
Orbit edition 2020 | French edition 2022
German edition 2022 | Bulgarian edition 2022
I kind of like the Bulgarian edition, but my favorite is the Orbit cover.
Koli! There sure are a variety of covers!
I really enjoyed the first book but I’ve yet to continue the series. I’ve purchased it all, just need to make the time. 🙂 I think my favorite is also the Orbit cover.
I like the Orbit cover, too, because “KOLI” is so big it makes me immediately wonder who or what “Koli” is and want to learn more.

One of your favorite scifi series?? I need to check what this is about.
I love the color effects in the Bulgarian edition
Yes, I like the cover you picked.

There’s just something about a red cover that is striking.
Oh I love that first one. And the last one too.

I love that all these covers are so different from one another. I really like the French edition because of the colors!

I like the US Orbit cover, but I’m quite partial to the Bulgarian edition too!
I agree with you on the Orbit cover, but I think I would pick up the French cover bc that just looks so pretty too!
I like that one too, and also the Bulgarian cover.
I prefer the German one!
I love the Orbit cover as I think it does a cracking job at snagging the reader’s attention – but I do also have a soft spot for the Bulgarian cover as I love the way it has depicted an actual scene from the story and the way those branches are reaching gives a strong hint at the hostile trees!
I like the first cover, too, but I haven’t read the book.
Ohhhw the French cover is so intriguing! 😮
