I can’t believe it either, two book tags within a two week span! What’s happening?? I guess I just keep seeing cool book tags on blogs I follow and I can’t resist:-) I spotted the 5—4—3—2—1 Book Tag on Zezee’s blog, and it’s quick and fun!
5 Books You Love
OK, so this seems like a crazy question, five books you love? I’ve gone for “five recent books I love” to narrow things down a bit (and these are in no particular order, by the way). Who knows, maybe some of these will wind up on my Top Five Books of 2022! But faced with choosing five books I love, these are the first five to come to mind, and I think you need to read them if you haven’t already.
Black Mouth by Ronald Malfi
Our Crooked Hearts by Melissa Albert
A Sh*tload of Crazy Powers by Jackson Ford
Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
The Shadow Glass by Josh Winning
4 Auto Buy Authors
Again, it’s very hard to pick only four auto buy authors, but here are a few of my very favorites who consistently write amazing fiction. I will drop everything to read a new book of theirs!
M.R. Carey
Louisa Morgan
Craig DiLouie
Daryl Gregory
3 Fave Genres
I’m going broad here, instead of mentioning subgenres. I’m sure it’s no surprise to anyone that horror is my favorite genre, followed by science fiction and thrillers.
2 Places You Read
95% of my reading takes place in bed. But I do have one other spot I use occasionally, and that’s my Heya chair:
I bought this from the showroom at work when we remodeled our offices and they were getting rid of all the old furniture, and I got it for a cool $25. Fun fact: my husband and I still call this the “Covid chair” because when he had Covid, I made him isolate in the chair so he wouldn’t infect us, lol. It worked!
1 Book You Promise to Read Soon
One book, eh? You guys know my TBR is quite big, but I do plan on reading Little Eve in the next couple of weeks. It’s got some great early buzz and I’m excited!
I love your reading chair! Is that a goose-neck lamp that I see in the corner? It sounds very, very useful 🙂
Yes! It has a lamp, a laptop table and also a power outlet:-)
That’s COMFORT indeed! 😉

That’s an unusual chair, I don’t think I could be comfortable in it though.
It’s actually more comfortable than it looks:-)
That reading chair is pretty cool!
Thanks!
What a fun tag! Also, that is the absolute coolest chair EVER
Isn’t it cool? Like a mini reading/writer retreat:-)
Fun book tag! But just five favorite books? I guess it’s better than trying to choose just one. 🙂
Hey that’s the rules!
That chair!! I think it looks amazing, and might go on the hunt for something similar!
It’s the best chair ever:-)
What a cool reading chair! You’re pretty transparent with the kind of books you enjoy, so your answers didn’t surprise me.:-)

I guess I am, lol.
I haven’t done a book tag in over a year and finally managed one this weekend. Perhaps I’ll do another one as well. I also love Book Tags!
I also don’t know how I’ll pick only 5 books…
Elza Reads
It was very hard to pick only five:-)
This is a cool quick tag!

It was very quick, unlike some tags that take forever, lol.
Fun! OMG, I love your Heya chair. Really cool nook!

It’s very cozy:-)
I covet your Heya chair!!! And the tag is really fun!
That’s one cool looking chair, I want it! LOL!
Whoa, the chair looks SO cool and comfy! I need one! Love your answers – I couldn’t pick just 5 books I love if I had to, either.
That Heya chair looks fascinating. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
Not surprised to see Craig DiLouie on your autobuy list. I still need to read One of Us, the only book of his I’ve got.
And that Heya chair looks like its own miniroom.
Haha – the covid chair. Looks like a great spot to hide away.
I love this tag and must take part soon.
Lynn 😀
This one is fun! I’ve bookmarked it to go do on a day when I have an open blog calendar and some time to put it together! I love your Covid chair, lol. And yeah, I don’t know how I’ll pick just one book for the last part!
