Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Happy Easter, Passover and Ramadan to those who celebrate! It’s been a dreary week here, since I got the flu and missed a few days of work. I’m feeling better now, but boy I hate being sick. I’m a creature of habit and routine, and I hate when things mess it up, lol.
Upcoming reads & reviews:
It’s a very dark week, broken up by the neon yellow cover of A Sh*tload of Crazy Powers, lol. Because I was sick and stayed home for two days, I got a lot of reading done. I breezed through Gone Dark, which was a lot of fun, and yes, I pushed through and finished The City of Dusk! I thought about DNFing it, but I put so much time into it I didn’t want that time to go to waste. I’ll post reviews of both books this week. This week I’m diving into that yellow book, and I can’t wait! It’s a May release, but seriously, I need to get a jump on my May books. I’m also reading Nettle & Bone which is fairly short, plus I’ve heard such good things about it!
Other posts this week:
There were lots of cover reveals last week, so look for three of them on Future Fiction (Wednesday); The Friday Face-Off is “unknown magical ability,” and I’ll post my latest book mail on Saturday:-D
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
The Friday Face-Off: Urban fantasy
And Then I Woke Up by Malcolm Devlin – Review 4.5/5 stars
Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel – Review 5/5 stars
I’m glad you’re feeling better, Tammy. It’s no fun being sick. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Thanks Priscilla:-)
Hope you’re feeling much better now!! And I’m happy you finished City of Dusk! I know you struggled through it so I will not expect a shining review lol. But at least now you can move on to something better!
Were you as put off by all the snow this week as I was?
My review is up tomorrow. I did enjoy some things so it isn’t a terrible review:-) Wait, what snow?
Wow, it’s dark in so many ways. You had the flu, the very dark covers and perhaps topics of books, and look at those storm clouds! 🙂 Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Can’t wait to read your thoughts on Nettle & Bone.
I didn’t realize I had a theme going, but you are right!
I sped through Gone Dark last week too. As huge as it was, it was such an easy to read story, I mean I just couldn’t put it down. I was fortunate I was away from home and had the time. Sorry you were sick. Hope you’re back to feeling better now! Have a good week!

Yesterday I started feeling sick and today it’s worse. I know what you mean about messing up the routine. I really don’t wanna miss class next week. 🙁

Oh no, sorry Stephanie! There is a lot going around right now. Take care!
I’m so glad to hear you are better. I also hate being sick. I really want to read the Jackson Ford books. I have them on my wishlist at the library and am working towards fitting them in along with others I have seen on your blog.

It’s so good!
I am sorry you were sick Tammy! I hate being sick too and am a very bad patient! Whiny and all :-))) I hope you feel much better now!
I do feel better, thanks Sophie:-)
I am hoping I like Gone Dark once I get into it more but only about 130 pages in and it’s kind of slow to me. Can’t wait to see what you think of it! I really love that landscape photo, so cool!!!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
Thanks Stormi, you too!
Gone Dark sounds like a very engrossing read, so I’m looking forward to your review!
And here’s to your newfound health and more energy for your… bookish pursuits 😉

It really is:-) Thanks!
Glad you’re feeling better! I totally hear you about routine, I get so thrown off if my routine is off.
I loved Nettle & Bone, I hope you do too! I’m glad to hear you finally made it through The City of Dusk as well. 🙂 Sounds like a good upcoming week, hope you have a good one!
