Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
My week: work, cook dinner, try to read while falling asleep, sleep, repeat. Yep, pretty exciting… In better news, the weather is really nice right now, and my orange tree is blooming and smells so good:-) Otherwise, not much to report, so let’s get to the books:
Upcoming reviews & reads:
I stayed on track last week and read everything I said I was going to! It helped being on two blog tours, because it forced me to finish those books on time so I could write my reviews. However, please remind me never to schedule two blog tours in one week, it’s pretty stressful! I’m almost finished with The Paradox Hotel, which is much different that I thought it was going to be. Still, I’m enjoying it! I’ve also just begun The Kaiju Preservation Society and so far it’s pretty good too. Look for reviews of both books this week. After that, it’s full speed ahead with March reads. The Maker’s Box is a self-published horror novella, and I’ll also be diving into Crowbones.
Other posts this week:
After a rather lackluster February, in terms of blog activity and stats, I’m hoping March picks up a bit. In any case, the beginning of the month is always busy on the blog. I’ll be sharing my February Wrap-Up post on Monday, Tuesday don’t miss What’s On My Plate for March! Wednesday I have an outstanding bunch of new titles to share on Future Fiction; and The Friday Face-Off is Steampunk.
In case you missed:
Miss any of last week’s posts? You can catch up here:

The new Scalzi book sees him return to his previous form, something that was not completely “there” in the last two books of the Interdependency series: I was very happy to see him back to his old ways 🙂

I’m glad to hear that! I’ve just started it, but now I can’t wait to get back to it:-)
I’m looking forward to your upcoming reviews, Tammy. OMGosh, look at that pelican, such personality!

Isn’t the pelican beautiful??
It’s been one of those weeks around here, too. But hey, they don’t last forever. And those orange blossoms are certainly something positive, as is that great shot of the brown pelican. 🙂
Yes, luckily busy weeks don’t last:-) Thanks Todd!
Definitely looking forward to your thoughts on Kaiju Preservation Society!

It’s fun so far, I will let you know!
It sounds like a great week to me. Robin liked Paradox Hotel. I’m reading Crowbones next and I wanted to read it sooner but Olympics.
I hope we both love Crowbones:-)
Paradox and Kaiju are two I’m super interested in, so it’ll be neat to see what you think. Living Memory looks good too because dinosaurs.

I know! I’m ready for a good dinosaur story:-)
Looks like you got some good reading in!
Yes, it was a good week:-)
Crowbones!! I need that book and I need it now!!
Ha ha I feel the same!
It was one of those weeks for me as well, hence me just now doing last week’s blog hopping, lol. Your hubby’s pelican photo is so beautiful. It almost looks like a painting!
It’s one of my favorites:-)
I somehow have an insanely full schedule for March, and something like 15 of the books are all published this week!
Enjoy the good weather!
Wishing you a great reading week
Oh wow, good luck Shelleyrae!
I would really love to smell your orange tree Tammy (god! That sounds dirty said like that! :-))))))
LMAO!!!!
I’m trying to tackle some March books now. I just finished Crowbones so that’s checked off the list, hopefully Kaiju will be soon!
I have a lot of short books this month, maybe that will help:-)
I must admit that March is a busy month. I’ve tried to read a couple before the month started but I still think I’ll struggle to keep up. Fingers crossed.
