Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
Who’s watching the Olympics? We gave up network TV a few years ago and I had to scramble to get Peacock TV so I could watch. I’m all about figure skating, personally:-) On the blogging front, I’m trying to focus on reviews this week, and I have a lot to get through this month so wish me luck!
Upcoming reads & reviews:
Such a colorful week I’m going to have! Lol. I’m hoping to post three reviews this week (I need to catch up), so look for The Great Witch of Brittany (which I loved!) on Monday, and later in the week Good Neighbors, which is a lot of fun, and Sisters of the Forsaken Stars. After that, I’m diving into one of my blog tour books, Bluebird.
Other posts:
Only a couple of non-review posts this week: Future Fiction as always, on Wednesday, and the Friday Face-Off is “Lips/Kiss.”
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Over-Booked [153] – A Book Haul Post

Looking Back – January Wrap-Up
Dead Silence by S.A. Barnes – Review 5/5 stars
I’ve watched a little of the iceskating so far, I’ll probably watch highlights more than anything
The Great Witch of Brittany sounds good, I look forward to learning your opinion
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelleyrae:-)
I love the pic!! It is funny and has amazing colors!! And at the moment I’m reading Good Neighbors and loving it, too!!
I just love Stephanie Burgis, her books always make me smile:-)
And I have tons of reviews to post too! Also I need to catch up with the Olympics too!
Good luck catching up!
I’m without a TV right now, so no Olympics for me. That’s okay, I’m helping take care of my grandson while my daughter recovers from surgery, and my little babies are plenty entertaining.:-)

Aww how sweet! Have fun with your grandson!
I’ve always loved watching the Olympics but haven’t seen anything so far. I’ll probably only be able to catch whatever little moments are posted online, no tv. That coot photo is fantastic! What a great pose and such a beautiful background.
I imagine you’ll be able to find videos for a lot of the Olympics online. Thanks Todd!
I love the figure skating and the skiing. I skied from a young age and I want to go now! But not in the temps they are having. Also I was on a high school curling team which won the championship my junior year of high school, so I also love the curling. But really I love it all, the snowboarding and ski jumping and cross country skiing. yes I have ice skates, downhill skis and cross country skis in my garage. But I also waterskied and wind surfed when I was younger. There’s really not an Olympic sport which I’m not interested in watching. Lulu’s perfectly happy to nap between us on the couch since she’s on the run otherwise.
That’s so cool! I love most of the sports as well. I wish I didn’t have anything else to do and could just watch all day!
I used to love watching the Olympics but now I don’t find myself caring much about it. It always happen when I’m too busy with work and other things!
Have you DNF’d Goliath? I remember that you were reading it last month but I don’t remember seeing a review..?
Have a great week! 🙂

Technically I put it aside, and I fully intend to go back to it. At the time it wasn’t grabbing me but I keep hearing amazing things about it so I need to finish!
Ok, I completely understand if you had put it aside, I would have been curious to know why. i’m now starting to see a few mixed reviews about it here and there and those review can also be very helpful! 🙂

I’m watching the Olympics via Peacock too. Thank goodness for streaming! I really liked it during the Summer Games because I could more or less watch anything anytime, hoping to do that with these games too a bit.
I’m soglad you gave Dead Silence 5 stars! Can’t wait to read that and sisters too.

I’ve noticed there’s a section on Peacock called “replay” so I guess if you miss something you can catch it later:-)
Your husband gets such cool bird photos!
I don’t watch the Olympics, just not a sports person.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
I’m not a sports person either, but I love figure skating!
My husband was considering signing up for Peacock so we could watch the Olympics, but he hasn’t so far. I am not really into them this year, sadly. I usually am really into the figure skating too. I look forward to reading your thoughts on your most recent reads. Have a great weekend!

I used to follow figure skating very closely but these days it’s all new skaters so it’s not quite as fun:-)
Started The Great Witch of Brittany this weekend, I’m enjoying it a lot so far!
It’s one of my favorites of hers:-)
i used to watch the olympics when i had sky tv. currently, i have a tv but it’s not connected to any local channels (we use it for youtube and netflix). i used to love watching the gynmastics side of the olympics.

I love gymnastics as well:-)
I forgot we had Peacock until yesterday but tuned in to the Olympics as soon as I remembered. I love the skating, the skiing, and the hockey. I’m doing well with my February reviews but just took a quick peek at March and realized I really need to get my butt in gear.

It’s amazing how fast February is slipping away…
I hope this is an enjoyable week. Looking forward to read your thoughts on Bluebird

I’ve been trying to watch the Olympics, but did a Peacock trial over the summer for the Summer Olympics and I keep forgetting to get it again, haha. It’s always frustrating that the free live stuff is so hard to watch because of the scheduling, haha. I love the figure skating as well, as well as snowboarding and I find the luge events surprisingly compelling. I love that cover for Bluebird! I hope you have a great week!

I’m struggling with Peacock, to be honest. I can never watch when it’s streaming live because it’s either while I’m at work or in the middle of the night. And the replays don’t seem to be worth watching. I’ve been watching individual figure skating performances on YouTube, lol.
Ooh, interested to see what you made of Bluebird.
Your OH is a photographic genius. I love his pictures. That Coot – so good.
Lynn 😀
Thanks Lynn!
