The Friday Face-Off: Rabbits

The Friday Face-Off was created by Books by Proxy, where each week bloggers can showcase books with covers centered around a weekly theme. You can visit Lynn’s Books for a list of upcoming themes. Join in the fun each Friday by finding a book whose cover is based on the theme!

This week’s theme: Rabbits

I’m going rogue this week. The theme is actually “windswept” and for the life of me I could not find a book to use! I have a few windswept books that I’ve already used for different themes, but I couldn’t find anything new. So I decided to show some recent covers with rabbits, which seem to be a trend these days. These are all speculative fiction and were either released within the past two years, or are coming out in 2022. Take a look!

These are just the books that I’ve already got on my Goodreads shelves, so I’m sure there are more out there. As far as a favorite goes, I can’t just pick one. I absolutely love What Moves the Dead and Dead Water, but I’m pretty fond of Cursed Bunny as well!

Do you have a favorite? Can you think of any other recent SFF books with bunnies on the cover that I missed?

lol Tammy stop making me look at that Kingfisher cover! You know how I feel about it. Just replace it with the Constant Rabbit or something. Otherwise, I’d vote for the David Liss one:)

  2. I saw your theme and immediately thought, “oh no, how did I misread this week’s theme that badly??” I love that you chose to do rabbits–there really are a lot of them on covers lately! And they really love to make them weird, haha. I had rabbits growing up and it always makes me want one again when I see them on covers (except maybe not Kingfisher’s, lol). I really like them all! They feel so creative.
