I can’t believe SciFiMonth 2021 is over! This month flew by, at least for me, and as always, I had so much fun focusing on science fiction. Big shout out one more time to hosts imyril from onemore.org and Lisa from Dear Geek Place! I managed to read almost all of my SciFiMonth TBR—seven out of eight books, so not too bad. I had fun putting together some lists, I featured three upcoming science fiction books each Wednesday on Future Fiction, and I even did a book tag!
In case you missed any of my posts, I’m linking everything below, along with a fun gallery of ALL the books I talked about this month. And to celebrate, I’m hosting a giveaway! At the end of this post, you can fill out the Rafflecopter for a chance to win ANY science fiction book. It doesn’t have to be one of the books below, it can be any SF book you’re interested in, including a preorder for an upcoming book if you want. On December 7th, I’ll randomly select two international winners. All I ask is that you make sure that Book Depository can ship to your country.
Thank you for keeping your spec-fic labour of love going! and for the giveaway of course .
I’d like to win The Paradox Hotel by Rob Hart.

“Let me know which book you would choose, or let me know the last science fiction book you read and enjoyed:-D” I recently enjoyed the fourth book in the Sandman Slim series by Richard Kadrey. There was too much going on with a visit to Hell, and/or a visit to a pseudo-Los Angeles alternative Hell. I’ve enjoyed it most where they’re in the real Los Angeles, with various film noir-style capers!
The last sci-fi book I read was Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Sure he is the author of the super popular book The Martian, but this book is just as, if not more, worthy of recognition and fame (IMHO!).
I did a buddy read with my BFF of HG Well’s The Time Machine. I’m very glad I read it but I didn’t love it.
You did great this month and I came across so many sci fi titles that I want to read. As for your giveaway question, thanks for hosting by the way, I’d probably want a copy of Sisters of the Vast Black. I’m still obsessed with the idea of nuns in space, lol.
This is such a great array of books! I’m having a hard time choosing which one I’d like most. I’d probably choose Adrift or The Eye of the Sh*t Storm. Thanks for the chance.
I always enjoy your Scifi posts. Based on one of them from last year, I finally read and enjoyed Sisters of the Vast Black. Looking forward to another year of great reading.

Your scifi month was really amazing, Tammy. So many great posts and reviews! I really don’t know which one I’d choose. I’d have to really think on it.

Whenever someone asks me about some of my favorite sci-fi Firefly and Doctor Who are my main ones. If they ask for something that isn’t as widely known I say Apocalypse Five by Stacey Rourke.
Ooh, what a great month you had (and such a nice giveaway!). I don’t know how I’d ever pick a favorite scifi book, but one of my consistent best is The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell (and I’ve loved as much of the Expanse series as I’ve read so far).
This post is such a beautiful, beautiful thing. I love seeing all of this scifi together.

You got through 7 out of 8? Not only is that not too bad but I think it sounds fantastic! 🙂 After my low initial expectation and your amazing review I’d have to choose You Sexy Thing, no question about it, though there’s a load of other books in the list I’d love to read. Just today I finished reading “I, Robot” by Isaac Asimov for the first time. I love trying the classics. Some hold up better than others, but I really enjoyed this one. It struck me very much as a thought exercise, but an entertaining one.
So many of those books look so good. I’d have to sit down a think about it for a good long time before I could pick a new one. The last Sci-fi I read and really liked was when I re-read The Martian last summer. It’s still terrific. Thanks!
I would choose Dead Space by Kali Wallace.
So many great looking books! I might choose All That’s Left in the World if I won, I’m looking forward to that one!
Science fiction is still a genre I’m just kind of dipping my toes into, there are several books you’ve featured this month that I think might work for me, but I’m not quite sure yet which one I’d choose.
I love your SciFiMonth posts! They always help show me all the sci-fi books I need to read, which is something I’m always looking for more of. Seeing The Last Watch on your posts always makes me feel happy because of much I enjoyed it, haha. Glad you had a great month and I appreciate all of your efforts!

SciFi Month was great this year. I expanded my TBR and discovered so many SF books I didn’t know about…
I loved Dead Space, that might be one of my faves recently!

I would probably choose last watch if I got the option haha. But I’m also very curious about You Sexy Thing

The book that I would choose and the last sci-fi book that I read are one and the same. Aurora’s End by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I love that series so much!
Hi Tammy, thanks for all the reviews, your books are not always my cup of tea but that’s the point of reviews! If I win I would like “Leviathan Falls”, the final book of the Expanse series, I’ll have to re-read the others but that’s no hardship
You had a great month!
The last sci fi book I read was A Memory Called Empire by Martine Arkady.
Great list!
I’m actually currently listening to Noor!
I really enjoyed Project Hail Mary: https://wordsandpeace.com/2021/07/23/book-review-project-hail-mary/
Though the most impressive recent scifi I read is Supernova Era by Cixin Liu: https://wordsandpeace.com/2019/10/18/book-review-supernova-era/
So if I win, I’d love to finally read The Three-Body Problem, also by Cixin Liu
Oooh, giveaway! 😀
I’d definitely like to read Project Hail Mary, but also Day Zero and Elder Race seem very promising 😉
I would most likely pick Aurora’s End by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff.
Thank you for the chance!! 🙂
You had a great sci-fi month, unlike my lazy self. I just don’t know how the month got away from me.
Lynn 😀
Ahh, not sure what happened to my giveaway entry! Could you please enter me Tammy? 🙂
Sure Megan!
