Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! It’s hard to believe Wednesday is December. This year is almost over! It’s also the end of SciFiMonth, which has been a lot of fun. I’m ending the month with a bang: this week I’ll post my best sci-fi books of 2021, as well as a SciFiMonth recap on Tuesday complete with giveaway. Don’t miss it:-)
Upcoming reviews:
I’m currently reading A Marvellous Light and it’s very good! It’s probably the only book I’ll get a review posted for this week.
Upcoming reads:
I’m definitely reading Revelator next, a review book that I’m several months late with, oops. And after that, I may dive into Jade War. I’m trying to finish off the Green Bone Trilogy this month!
Other posts:
On Monday, don’t miss my 21 Best Science Fiction Books of 2021. Tuesday is my SciFiMonth Wrap Up with an international giveaway! Wednesday is the first of the month, which means it’s time for What’s on My Plate, and I’m doubling up Wednesday with a non sci-fi edition of Future Fiction;-) The Friday Face-Off is “windswept figure;” and I’ll probably do a book haul post on Saturday.
In case you missed:
Here are my posts from this past week:
Blindspace by Jeremy Szal – Review 4/5 stars
Cover Reveal & Angry Robot Rebranding Announcement
Far From the Light of Heaven by Tade Thompson – Review 4.5/5 stars
That is the CUTEST kingfisher ever!

I agree, super cute:-)
I’ve heard good things about Jade War. That’s a series I think I’d enjoy. And the kingfisher made me smile. My father has been telling me about a pair he’s been mostly hearing and sometimes seeing when he opens the gates to a local boardwalk in the morning.
I have yet to see a Kingfisher myself, but I love that your dad has seen a pair:-)
I know, where did this year go?!! That Kingfisher looks so cute!
It seriously flew by…
Love the Kingfisher picture! I also like the cover of A Marvelous Light. Hoping to go back and read some past reviews here that I’ve missed out on over the past couple of weeks and I’ll be looking forward to that one as well!

Thanks Lisa! I love the Kingfisher pic too:-)
I love Scifi month and all you recommendations. I have been buying them at Audible and reserving them at the library even if I can’t get to them all right now. lol Robin reviewed all the Green Bone books this week + I linked up one of those. She has Jade Legacy tomorrow. I can’t believe November is almost over and the year almost over!

I’ll have to check out Robin’s review of Jade Legacy:-)
I’m excited for your review of A Marvellous Light!
It’s very different from everything else I’ve read lately:-)
December being next week seems like a joke. How has the year gone by already?!
Ha ha right? It just doesn’t seem right!
ooOOoooOooooOoo nice Kingfisher:)
Thanks Will:-)
Hope you had a great holiday! I’m going to miss SciFi Month. Even though I didn’t participate as much as I would have liked, it was awesome to see all the posts this year. Looking forward to your wraps ups…
Love the pic!

Thanks Greg! I agree, SciFiMonth really goes by fast, then it’s a long wait til next year…
That kingfisher must have had a meeting with a hedgehog! 😉
LOL!!
I can’t believe that December is here and the end of year is fastly approaching, too!!
But the kingfisher is adorable!!
He is cute, thanks Susy:-)
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! I’m really looking forward to your best of 2021 sci fi list. I didn’t read nearly as much sci fi this year as I normally do so I’ll be looking to see which titles need to go on my TBR for 2022.
I read a lot of sci-fi this year, so I had a lot to choose from:-)
I’ll be reading A Marvellous Light too this month.
I look forward to seeing your recommendations for Best of SciFi
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks Shelleyrae, you too:-)
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Jade War! Revelator still sounds so interesting, I *love* that cover. I can’t believe it’s December this week, either! Hope you have a great week. 🙂
