Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer:-D
This week is Thanksgiving, and I’m looking forward to getting together with my parents and sister and having some extra time off work! I’m getting Covid boosterized on Friday, and none too soon as the holidays are upon us and Covid isn’t going away any time soon:-( I hope everyone who celebrates has a wonderful, yummy, relaxing holiday!
Upcoming reviews:
This is the last full week of SciFiMonth, and I’ve had so much fun. Next week I have some fun posts to end the event, including my Best Sci-Fi of 2021 So Far list, and a giveaway. This week I’ll be posting reviews for both Far From the Light of Heaven and Blindspace (just as soon as I finish them, lol), but I’m not sure what days yet. I feel so unorganized right now!
Upcoming reads:
Who really knows what I’ll read this week, lol. If I can get to Light From Uncommon Stars, I will have read all eight of my SciFiMonth books, and that makes me pretty happy. I’d also love to squeeze in A Marvellous Light and The Bone Shard Emperor, so we’ll see how the week goes.
Other posts:
To be honest, I don’t have much planned this week. Other than Future Fiction on Wednesday, I may or may not do The Friday Face-Off, and just try to get my books read and reviewed.
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
You Sexy Thing by Cat Rambo – Review 4.5/5 stars
The Friday Face-Off: Futuristic Vista
Swashbucklers by Dan Hanks – Review 3.5/5 stars
Looking forward to your review for Blindspace: I don’t know when I will be able to add it to my TBR once it’s published, but I’m keen to learn what kind of challenges Vak &Co. will face in the new book 🙂

So far it’s so good! I will let you know soon;-)
Good luck with your booster. I don’t think it’ll be as bad as the full dose second shot (which knocked me off my feet for 48 hours!).

I was OK for my previous two shots so fingers crossed:-)
Happy Thanksgiving!! And I really need to start Szal series!!
Yes, it’s soo good!
Happy Thanksgiving!!! I’m hoping to get some extra reading done this week (yay vacation days!) and I’m only hosting a small Thanksgiving dinner 😀

I hope you get lots of extra reading done!
I know what you mean about feeling unorganized. I feel like I’ve been drifting from day to day with no focus and eyes closed to anything not right in front of me, leaving me flailing with each new thing that surfaces and needs attention. Ah well, at least we still have books to give us some solace. 🙂
I’m glad I’m not the only one, Todd. And yes, thank goodness for books!
Have fun with the family Tammy! And I hope the booster won’t knock you out too much!
Ha ha me too! Thanks Sophie:-)
I’m finishing Bone Shard Emperor, It’s getting crazy! And I just won a copy of Stormblood, excited to check it out after all the good reviews from you and others!
Congrats! I hope you love Stormblood too:-)
Yay for boosterized, time off work, time with family and new books! Happy Thanksgiving Tammy!

Thanks Stormi, you too:-)
I’m looking forward to hearing about Marvellous Light and Light From Uncommon Stars — I’ve had my eye on both! Wishing you and your a very happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks Lisa, you too!
I still need to go read your review of Swashbucklers, I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to do any commenting, or not much. You’ve got a few more reviews coming up I need to check out as well. Have a great week!

Light From Uncommon Stars looks quite good. Hasn’t SciFi Month been fun? Hope you have a great Thanksgiving Tammy!
Thanks, you too Greg!
Finished The Bone Shard Emperor, it was really good! Hoping to tackle You Sexy Thing and maybe A Marvelous Light next – that one is newer to me, but I’m intrigued.
I’m glad to hear that!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and that the booster doesn’t give you any trouble. I got mine this past Friday and it was about the same as with the first two shots – mild headache that a couple of Advil easily took care of, sore arm, and I wanted to nap a lot, which may or may not have had anything to do with the shot, lol.
Thank you Suzanne! I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving as well.
Covid boosters are going very slow here in Belgium. It’s only people older than 65 and caregivers who are currently getting them. My father is 63 (with other medical concerns too) and he’s still waiting. It’s really frustrating sometimes!

I think the just opened up boosters to all adults, so it’s sort of slow here too. I hope you and your father especially get it soon!
I’ve been thinking of picking up Far From the Light of Heaven (finally), so I’ll be looking forward to your review! I can relate to the “who really knows what I’ll read this week,” haha. It feels like anything goes for me, right now. I just finished The Bone Shard Emperor and loved it, so I hope you do too!
I love the squirrel! I just got a booster the other day and am so glad to have been able to, especially with the holidays. First two shots barely bothered me, but this one gave me the slightest low grade fever and some chills/back ache, so all in all I feel very lucky, haha. Hope you have a great week!

I’m starting to worry about the booster, I’ve heard some people had more of a reaction to it. Oh well, it will be worth it!
I enjoyed the Bone Shard Emperor, review soon.
Happy Thanksgiving – enjoy the time with your family.
Lynn 😀
I’m glad to hear that, I haven’t started it yet, but hopefully soon. Thanks Lynn!
