Waiting on Wednesdays is the brainchild of Jill at Breaking the Spine, and because Jill isn’t hosting it any more, I’m now linking up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings. Stop over there and link up your “Can’t Wait” book of the week!
I’m sorry to say I haven’t yet read Chokshi’s The Star-Touched Queen series, but wow this sounds good, and check out the gorgeousness of the cover!
Set in a darkly glamorous world The Gilded Wolves is full of mystery, decadence and dangerous but thrilling adventure.
Paris, 1889: The world is on the cusp of industry and power, and the Exposition Universelle has breathed new life into the streets and dredged up ancient secrets. In this city, no one keeps tabs on secrets better than treasure-hunter and wealthy hotelier, Séverin Montagnet-Alarie. But when the all-powerful society, the Order of Babel, seeks him out for help, Séverin is offered a treasure that he never imagined: his true inheritance. To find the ancient artifact the Order seeks, Séverin will need help from a band of experts:
An engineer with a debt to pay. A historian who can’t yet go home. A dancer with a sinister past. And a brother in all but blood, who might care too much.
Together, they’ll have to use their wits and knowledge to hunt the artifact through the dark and glittering heart of Paris. What they find might change the world, but only if they can stay alive.
The Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves #1) by Roshani Chokshi. Releases in January 2019 from Wednesday Books. A magical story set in 1889 Paris? Yes, I will take one of those, please:-)
I loved The Star-Touched Queen and A Crown of Wishes! Very much looking forward to this one!
I MUST catch up with her first series:-)
I just requested this book on NetGalley! I’m so excited about. I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance to read it, Tammy!
Have a wonderful day. =)

Me too! I hope we both get approved:-)
I really want to learn more about the dancer with the sinister past. This sounds pretty interesting and such a pretty cover.
I just want to stare at the cover:-)
A magical story set in Paris does sound really good!
I can’t imagine it won’t be good, based on the description and the author:-)
I haven’t read star touched queen either, but this one looks intriguing!
It does, and based on the great reviews I’ve read of The Star Touched Queen, this is going to be a must read for me.
If I had seen this volume in a bookstore, I would have grabbed it on the strength of the cover alone 🙂
But the story would have kept me there, because it sounds oh-so-intriguing!

Agreed! It’s got that double whammy, awesome cover and fantastic sounding story:-)
I really loved The Star-Touched Queen and A Crown of Wishes – I hadn’t realised this one was due! I’m scampering off to see if I can track it down RIGHT NOW… Thank you Tammy!
I must go back and read her first series, I remember how much you loved them:-)
I haven’t read The Star-Touched Queen either, but a Victorian-era treasure hunt sounds pretty amazing!
It’s seems like a unique idea:-)
I saw this go up on NetGalley earlier in the week and now I’m so torn! I loved her Star Touched Queen books, but my NG tbr is swamped enough as it is…ah well, there’s a good chance I’ll probably cave, since the release date is still so far off 😀

I requested it but I’m really behind with NetGalley as well and it was an impulse request (although I do really want to read it). And yes, it’s so far away it’s easy to justify:-)
This does sound quite good!!

I was surprised, too, it seems like a fun story and a cool cover as well:-)
Ooh yes please. Paris, a team of treasure hunters and a secret society? Sounds perfect.
