Waiting on Wednesday is the brainchild of Breaking the Spine, although Jill isn’t hosting this meme anymore. In any case, I will continue to post Waiting on Wednesdays, simply because it’s one of my favorite posts to do each week:-D
I have to admit I’ve never read Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid ChroniclesΒ (cringes) but when I heard about his new series, I knew I’d be adding it to my TBR. Not much of a story description at this point, but I’m loving the idea:
In the start of an enchanting new series, the New York Times bestselling author of The Iron Druid Chronicles creates an unforgettable fantasy world . . . one that is forever changed when an army of giants invades. The kingdom’s only hope? The discovery of a form of magic that will call the world’s wondrous beasts to fight by the side of humankind.
A Plague of Giants (Seven Kennings #1) by Kevin Hearne releases in October 2017 from Del Rey Books. I’m sure the publisher will expand on this blurb closer to the release date, but I’m intrigued by the idea of “magic that will call the world’s wondrous beasts to fight by the side of humankind.”
Sounds mysterious and Narnia-esque!

It does sound interesting. π
I never got behind the Iron Druid series; the humor fell flat for me. A fresh start is always good though!

I’m very curious about the beasts fighting alongside humankind. I want to read his Iron Druid series but think I’ll be adding this to the TBR as well. Loving the cover!

I definitely have my eye on this one! I had been wondering if a more detailed publisher description will come out at some point. It’s so teasingly vague!

Wow! I feel like you would have definitely read that Druid series by Kevin Hearne! I admit, I don’t know much about those books or this new book but I’ve seen the author’s name around and I feel like his books are books you’d read. Well, I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it, Tammy!
Have a fabulous week. =)

Nice! I never tried the Iron Druid Chronicles either (*concomitant cringe* haha), but I maybe a new series will finally give me a chance to try Kevin Hearne. Thanks Tammy!
I’m very intrigued. Not enough giants in fantasy!
I will definitely read this – I love the Atticus series – I’m not fully uptodate but I have read a few already just need to catch up.

The Iron Druid books weren’t really for me, but I really like Hearne’s online presence so I’m hoping that this series will be a better fit for me. And like others have said…giants! π
