Waiting on Wednesday (49) VIRAL NATION by Shaunta Grimes

It’s Wednesday again…time to highlight another book I’m excited to read! That’s a never-ending list, as many of you know:) Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine. Here’s what I’m excited to read:

Viral Nation by Shaunta Grimes. Release date: July 2 2013 (Berkley Trade). I think I ran across this book on someone else’s Waiting on Wednesday last week, and I immediately added it to my Goodreads TBR. I’m absolutely in love with the cover, every element just comes together so well, don’t you think? And, there’s a dog! I can immediately be won over by dogs, although this poor guy looks like he’s going to slip off that car! After I added this to Goodreads I realized that the author’s name seemed familiar to me, and then it hit me: I’ve been reading her blog, Story Carnivores, for a while now. I’m so happy her first book is about to come out! Here’s the description from Goodreads:

After a virus claimed nearly the entire global population, the world changed. The United States splintered into fifty walled cities where the surviving citizens clustered to start over.
