Stacking the Shelves (18)

Stacking the ShelvesStacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, and is a fun way to share the books you’ve acquired over the past week. I’m starting off the year without a single new book purchase! I only received a few books, but they are really good ones. (You can click on the book cover images to go to Goodreads.)

For Review from Edelweiss/Publisher:

RevengeThe Murmurings

Revenge by Yoko Ogawa. Release date: January 29 2013 (Picador). This book of dark short stories has been given a blurb (on the front cover, no less) by Joe Hill. That alone makes me want to devour it! (OK, I just noticed that the photo above actually has a blurb by Hilary Mantel on the front, but I swear my copy has a Joe Hill blurb. Weird.)

The Murmurings by Carly Anne West. Release date: March 5 2013 (Simon Pulse). I love the dark cover of this book, and it seems perfect for the dark and creepy mystery that lies within…

Indie book for Review:

A Shade of Vampire

A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest. Now available. This sounds like an actual scary vampire tale, with very little romance or humor, at least that’s what I get from the Goodreads description. This is the last of my indie books that I’ve accepted until I catch up.

Won:

Bruised

Bruised by Sarah Skilton. Release date: March 5 2013 (Amulet/Abrams). I’m so excited! I recently won this (and another ARC, but for the life of me I can’t remember what it is!) from A. G. Howard’s huge giveaway to celebrate the release of Splintered. I tweeted Sarah when the book arrived and she is so nice! Plus, I got lucky and won some other cool prizes from Anita that will be arriving soon…

That’s it for me, folks! Looks like I’m going to be busy…Please let me know what you got this week:)

  1. I picked up the wicked series, fallen in love by Lauren Kate, the uglies series by Scott Westerfeld, wake and fade by Lisa Mcmann, night circus, immortal, darkness becomes her and a beautiful evil by Kelly Keaton, and rot & ruin by Maberry

  2. The Murmurings looks so intriguing, can’t wait to hear what you think of it. And Revenge also looks cool, and maybe too scary for me! Congrats on your giveaway wins 🙂 Happy reading!
