I’m so happy the weekend is here! It was a rough week for me. Not a bad week, just extremely busy. One of those weeks where you need about ten more hours in each day to finish everything you need to get done. It was also the week I fell WAY behind in NaNoWriMo, and I’m afraid it might be impossible to catch up at this point. (More on that later). But on to happier things…Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and is a great way for bloggers to share with the world the books they received over the past week. I did not purchase any books this week. Yea me! But I did get a few for review, and here they are:
From NetGalley/Random House/Del Rey:
The Best of All Possible Worlds by Karen Lord. Release date: February 5 2013. This science fiction novel about two clashing alien societies and how they try to co-exist at first reminded me of Avatar, but I think it’s quite different. The cover does not fit the description of the story at all, in my opinion, which intrigues me!
Indie Books for Review:
Hera, Queen of Gods by T. D. Thomas. Now available. Hera, the Queen of Gods, must become temporarily mortal and search the human world when the Fates go missing. Wow, this sounds like so much fun! And just look at the cover. Hera undercover in high school…I can’t wait to read this! Thanks to T. D. for the review copy.
inDIVISIBLE by Ryan Hunter. Now available. Citizens who live in One United have security, but they also have an implant that monitors their every move. This is the story of Brynn, a girl who is fighting for her life in order to get back her freedom. I love the concept of this story, and I’m really looking forward to reading it. Thank you Ryan for a review copy!
You can click on the covers to go to Goodreads.
What’s on your shelves this week?
