Waiting on Wednesdays is the brainchild of Jill at Breaking the Spine, and because Jill isn’t hosting it any more, I’m now linking up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings. Stop over there and link up your “Can’t Wait” book of the week!
You guys, I have been waiting for what seems like years for this cover to be revealed, and I’m so excited this book finally has both a cover and a release date! AND LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL:
Kincaid Strange cannot catch a break. After dealing with a spate of paranormal murders, there’s barely time to recuperate–let alone sleep in–before there’s a new problem in Kincaid’s world of paranormal activity. When her roommate, Nathan Cade–the ghost of a grunge-rocker with a pathological lack of self-control–comes home bound to a dead body, it’s up to Kincaid to figure out how to free him. Ideally before her new mentor, Gideon, a powerful sorcerer’s ghost, discovers that Nate is trapped in the body he’d coveted for himself.
Lipstick Voodoo (Kincaid Strange #2) by Kristi Charish. Releases in January 2019 from Vintage Books Canada. The Voodoo Killings was one of my favorite books of 2016, and I’ve been waiting to dive back into Charish’s urban fantasy world ever since I turned the last page. Seriously, if you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it. Now if only a smart U.S. publisher would pick up this series!
I like the cover change even though I have the original one and would prefer they match! It does seem like it’s been FOREVER since the first one came out. Even the title is awesome. Great choice!

I like both covers for different reasons, I guess. But I’m tempted to buy the new cover for both books so I have a matching set:-)
Wow, has it been that long since The Voodoo Killings? I’ve been so hooked on her Owl series that I didn’t notice.
Hey, time flies when you have too many books to read:-)
I almost made this my pick! I loved the first one. Really hoping the same lady narrates the second because it was fantastic.

I keep hearing great things about the audio version, I may have to check it out sometime:-)
Man, I still need to read Voodoo Killing!! 🙂
I highly recommend it, Stormi:-)
I’ve never heard of this before until now but LIPSTICK VOODOO isn’t something you see as a book title everyday! 😀
Isn’t that a great title?
This series sounds so much fun, Tammy! Thank you for sharing this one and I look forward to reading your reaction to it:).
It’s a blast Sarah, and the characters are wonderful, they really make this special.
I love that title, and it looks like a blast!

Highly recommend this series, Greg!
I actually saw this cover in the Vintage catalog earlier this year while the image still had the “cover not final” stamp on it, and thought to myself, wow, they went a whole different direction with the art this time. But now I see it’s because they reissued the first book with a new cover too! I also hope a US publisher will eventually pick this up, but if they are going to do the same thing as book 1 with audio, at least I’ll probably be able to get a listening copy from Audible.

I really like the original cover, but this new design has more of an urban fantasy vibe, I think. I hope there is an audio available! Although I did have a Twitter exchange with Kristi today and she mentioned a summer US release of Voodoo Killings, so hopefully that means this one will follow!
I haven’t started this series but I am loving Owl. Hope you love it.
Lynn 😀
Whew, this sounds so good — AND that cover is gorgeous!
Beautiful cover and sounds very interesting.

Yes, it does feel like we have been waiting forever for this. I cannot wait!
