Waiting on Wednesdays is the brainchild of Jill at Breaking the Spine, and because Jill isn’t hosting it any more, I’m now linking up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings. Stop over there and link up your “Can’t Wait” book of the week!
So this week’s pick is bound to be ultra popular with many bloggers, but I don’t care! I’m so freaking excited that Obsidio finally has a cover!
Kady, Ezra, Hanna, and Nik narrowly escaped with their lives from the attacks on Heimdall station and now find themselves crammed with 2,000 refugees on the container ship, Mao. With the jump station destroyed and their resources scarce, the only option is to return to Kerenza—but who knows what they’ll find seven months after the invasion?
Meanwhile, Kady’s cousin, Asha, survived the initial BeiTech assault and has joined Kerenza’s ragtag underground resistance. When Rhys—an old flame from Asha’s past—reappears on Kerenza, the two find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict.
With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heros will fall, and hearts will be broken.
Obsidio (The Illuminae Files #3) by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff. Releases in March 2018 from Knopf Books for Young Readers. I hear this cover is sparkly in real life, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! I entered the preorder contest where you could get a chance to have your name appear on the casualty list, so I’m crossing my fingers;-) Is anyone out there NOT reading this series??
Wow, this is a super popular choice this week – both you and Mogsy. I need to read the two beautiful hardbacks I have of the first two but definitely will be purchasing this one to add to them. And it’s black/grey – perfect!

Thanks Jenea! Me too:-)
I haven’t read this series yet – I think I have the first one on my TBR and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in once I’ve clear a couple more series from my book stack.

I think you’d enjoy this, Sarah, it’s VERY good.
Honestly I’m not a fan of this series. I had an arc of the first one and I just could not get into the story. But it’s very popular and I hope you love the third one!

It’s definitely not for everyone. The format is a little daunting, but for me once I got into the rhythm, it worked great.
*raises hand in shame* I’m not reading it! But, erm, only because I haven’t gotten to it yet! The series sounds so intriguing. Is this the final book?
Yes, I’m pretty sure this is the final book. This series is a bunch of fun, especially if you like romance and lots of action, violence and humor. It’s got it all, really.
Oh my goodness!! We wantsssss thissss, Precioussssss! We wantss it NOW! 😀

Thanks for visiting, and yes, I’m so excited and I know it’s going to be a fantastic book:-)
Hah! You and Mogsy are book twins this week – this is a good choice and a timely reminder for the likes of me to catch up – still got time 😀

I had a feeling I wouldn’t be the only one who picked this book…and yes, you have plenty of time to catch up:-)
Fabulous pick! I just started this series a couple of weeks ago and am already in love with it.

Ahhhhhhh! This book could not come soon enough. I was so sad about it getting pushed back to 2018 but hey, I’m sure it will be an even better book because of it. I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it!
Have a lovely week, Tammy. =)

I love this cover, and I can’t wait to line all three up on my bookshelves:-)
My gosh, I just found another book by Amie Kaufman and Meg Spooner I think on this meme this week and couldn’t figure out how AK got the time to sleep with all the books she’s got coming out!
She is incredibly prolific! And so is Jay Kristoff, he has another series going at the same time, and is about to start a third one. I guess they never sleep:-/
Argh, the wait for this one seems interminable! This series is honestly one of the most creative I’ve come across, format-wise, which I really think adds something to the reading experience.
Hope you end up on the casualty list, haha. 😀

I agree, I didn’t think they would be able to pull off book #2, because how do you improve on Illuminae? But they managed, and now I’m curious to see what they do next!
I have the first book on audi and I really need to listen to it, so far I have only heard very good things about the first two books!!
I hear the audio versions are really good! Have fun if you get to listen:-)
I was going to read the first one until I heard about the format of it. Not my thing but glad you enjoyed the series so far!
I am DYING for this! 🙂
Ooooh it’s so beautiful! I still have to read GEMINA but I’ll be sure to do so before this one comes out.
