Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers.
I spotted this book on someone else’s WoW a couple of weeks ago and immediately added it to my list. I mean, come on! Ghost dog! Those are the only two words I need to know. Check it out:
Leigh Bardugo meets The Sixth Sense in this story of one girl’s perilous journey to restore a lost order.
Imagine you live with your aunt, who hates you so much she’s going to sell you into a dreadful apprenticeship. Imagine you run away before that can happen. Imagine that you can see ghosts—and talk with the dead. People like you are feared, even shunned.
Now imagine…the first people you encounter after your escape are a mysterious stranger and a ghost boy, who seem to need you desperately—though you don’t understand who they are or exactly what they want you to do. So you set off on a treacherous journey, with only a ghost dog for company. And you find that what lies before you is a task so monumental that it could change the world.
The White Road of the Moon by Rachel Neumeier. Releases in March 2017 from Knopf Books for Young Readers. There are two covers on Goodreads, both with the same publishing information, so I’m not sure if this is the correct cover, although it’s clearly the better one, IMO. Anyway, doesn’t this sound good? I’ve read one book by Rachel Neumeier and I really enjoyed it, but it’s been a few years. I’m looking forward to checking out her latest.
Let me know what you’re waiting on:-D
**Has anyone else noticed that Jill at Breaking the Spine hasn’t posted a link up for a month? Does anyone know what’s going on?
This book sounds good and I’m really enjoying the cover. But let’s be honest, you probably had me at “ghost dog.”

Lol, of course, Barb! How could those two words not grab your attention?:-)
Yes, ghost dog! I don’t have to be afraid the dog will die! It sounds like an interesting read.

Jeez, what a terrible aunt. 😀 I’d not heard of this book! The ghost dog sounds like an interesting concept. I hope you enjoy this book when you get a chance to read it!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a lovely week, Tammy. =)

This sounds like a cool book!
Yes, I have noticed that she hasn’t posted in a while so I emailed her to see if she would respond. Asking if she was okay. I hope she is okay.

Yup, “ghost dog” is enough to convince me to read this one! Definitely going to read this.
As for Jill, I’m not sure what’s going on! I follow her on Twitter and she hasn’t posted anything there in about two weeks. Hopefully she’s alright!

I haven’t heard of this one before 🙂

This is the cover showing on Amazon, so I think you chose right – plus I agree that it’s the better one 😉
I still need to read the author, though I think I have an adult book by her coming up on my TBR. I was also pleased to see the blurb about the ghost dog! I know Rachel Neumeier is a huge dog lover, and I still remember her posts about her Cavalier King Charles spaniels because that’s the same breed of my two fur babies 🙂

I have yet to read a Leigh Bardugo book, but I want to. And I loved The Sixth Sense, so I’ll have to definitely check this one out! Great pick! You can see my WOW in the link below!

This does sound good! I hadn’t heard of it yet either. I might need to add this to my to be checked out list.

Oooh! Ghost boy. I’ve seen Rachel Neumeier’s name around often but haven’t yet read anything of hers. I also noticed Jill’s lack of posting… I’m not sure. She still seems active on Twitter though. I should maybe ask her.
