Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers.
Can’t remember where I stumbled across this book, but it looks suitably creepy and it’s definitely calling my name!
Alice’s house stands at a gateway between worlds. Now something has awoken on the other side – and she’s in its way…
378 Collarmill Road looks like an ordinary house. But sometimes, the world outside the windows isn’t the one you expect to see. And sometimes you’ll turn around and find you’re not alone.
The suburb of Crawbeck, on a hill outside the English city of Manchester, overlooks the woodlands of Browton Vale. Alice Collier was happy here, once, but following the end of her marriage and loss of her daughter, she’s come back to pick up the threads of her life.
John Revell, an old flame of Alice’s, reluctantly comes to her aid when the house begins to reveal its secrets. The hill on which it sits is a place of legends – of Old Harry, the Beast of Crawbeck, of the Virgin of the Height and of the mysterious Red Man – and home to the secrets of the shadowy Arodias Thorne.
And now Alice and John stand between him and rest of our world…
The Feast of All Souls by Simon Bestwick. Releases in December 2016 from Solaris. Haunted house story or fantasy?? I’m not sure, but I love this cover and the story sounds really good.
Let me know what you’re waiting on this week:-D
Oh, sounds wonderfully creepy!

I know, and the cover is creepy too, so here’s hoping:-)
That cover has something of a Tim Burton feel to it, but I suspect it will be less quirky and more creepy. Nice pick!
Now that you say that, I can see the Tim Burton influence:-)
I saw this somewhere too because it’s already on my wishlist on Goodreads but like you, can’t remember where. The cover is absolutely gorgeous. December seems so far away!

It seems far away, but I know it will be here before I’m ready, lol.
Wow, great cover! Haunted house stories give me the creeps, maybe because I grew up in a very old, creaky house. I do really like Solaris’ publications, though!

I’m jealous, I always wanted to live in an old house:-)
Love this cover! And I’m always up for a book about haunted houses. On a slightly different subject, I took a guess that your WoW would be the sequel to Borderline today but I was wrong – wanted to let you know I finally read it and it was awesome 😀

I’ve actually been waiting for GR to put up the story blurb for Phantom Pains but they must have just done that! At least I know what next week’s WOW is;-)
And so glad you loved Borderline!
I haven’t heard of that one, but it sounds really good! You can check out my WOW in the link below!
