Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers. I had to bump this week’s planned WoW pick because of THIS COVER REVEAL:
The city of Verity has been overrun with monsters, born from the worst of human evil. In North Verity, the Corsai and the Malchai run free. Under the rule of Callum Harker, the monsters kill any human who has not paid for protection. In the South, Henry Flynn hunts the monsters who cross the border into his territory, aided by the most dangerous and darkest monsters of them all—the Sunai, dark creatures who use music to steal their victim’s souls.
As one of only three Sunai in existence, August Flynn has always wanted to play a bigger role in the war between the north and the south. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate Harker, daughter of the leader of North Verity, August jumps on it.
When Kate discovers August’s secret, the pair find themselves running for their lives and battling monsters from both sides of the wall. As the city dissolves into chaos, it’s up to them to foster a peace between monsters and humans.
A unique, fast-paced adventure that looks at the monsters we face every day—including the monster within.
This Savage Song (Monsters of Verity #1) by Victoria Schwab. Releases from Greenwillow Books in June 2016. Hurray, a new YA from Victoria Schwab! I really love the sound of this, and check out the violin on the cover, which means the story has something to do with music, perhaps??
Are you a Victoria Schwab fan? Let me know what you’re waiting on this week:-D
I will read ANYTHING by Schwab! Love her! Great choice! My WOW

Yeah, me too! I think I have read everything by her, except her middle grade.
It seems like it will have something to do with music. I wonder what type of music these dark creature with play… Will the violin sounds classical and elegant? Or perhaps they are horrible and it sounds nails on blackboard? I know that sound steals my soul 😛
Ha ha, I love that they don’t really tell you about the violin in the blurb, can’t wait to be surprised!
I LOOOOVE Victoria Schwab especially Vicious and The Archived. I can’t wait to read this one – the names sound awesome as does the plot. Her writing is so great. 🙂 GREAT GREAT PICK!

It does sound unique! Hope you get the chance to read it:-)
I still haven’t read anything by Victoria Schwab yet, but I love the sounds of her books – including this one! And yes, it sounds like there’s a music element involved in the story. 😀 We need more fantasy stories that incorporate music!

I agree, I’m very intrigued by the music part of the story:-)
This looks so good!! I’ve yet to read a Victoria Schwab but I’ve got like four of hers on my TBR haha.
She’s great, I love her adult books the best, but I’m looking forward to this YA too. (obviously!)
ha ha …. evil music that will steal your soul! 🙂 Definitely sounds like it could be good!

It wouldn’t be a Schwab book without some kind of evil;-)
I had this one on my list and I think I only saw the cover recently too! I think she only writes adult novels under “V.E.”, right? So this would be Young Adult? I’m very curious about her YA 🙂

Yes, this is her YA name. I read The Archived and really enjoyed it, so I’m hoping for more of the same.
I saw the reveal for this one! All I needed to see was the author’s name. 😀 I hope you enjoy this book when you read it!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a fabulous week, Tammy. 🙂

I just caught this reveal by accident, so glad I did!
I still haven’t read this author – in spite of such glowing reviews – clearly I must be crazy!
I have bought a couple though so just need to make the space to read them!
Lynn 😀
I think you’ll enjoy her books, Lynn. My VERY favorite is Vicious:-)
Victoria Schwab is everywhere! Good for her! I am kind of mixed about her books. They are good, but maybe missing something for me that I can’t really point out? It’s weird. I think I need to try Vicious though, as I hear it is the best of her books.
