Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers. I just about DIED when I saw this book cover this past week, and of course I had to feature this as my WoW pick! I absolutely loved Ink and Bone, and I’m so freaking excited about the sequel:
With an iron fist, The Great Library controls the knowledge of the world, ruthlessly stamping out all rebellion, forbidding the personal ownership of books in the name of the greater good.
Jess Brightwell has survived his introduction to the sinister, seductive world of the Library, but serving in its army is nothing like he envisioned. His life and the lives of those he cares for have been altered forever. His best friend is lost, and Morgan, the girl he loves, is locked away in the Iron Tower and doomed to a life apart.
Embarking on a mission to save one of their own, Jess and his band of allies make one wrong move and suddenly find themselves hunted by the Library’s deadly automata and forced to flee Alexandria, all the way to London.
But Jess’s home isn’t safe anymore. The Welsh army is coming, London is burning, and soon, Jess must choose between his friends, his family, or the Library willing to sacrifice anything and anyone in the search for ultimate control…
Paper and Fire (The Great Library #2) by Rachel Caine releases in July 2016 from NAL. Check out this amazing cover, and yes, those are dragons! I also found the UK cover, which I have to admit, I love as well. This may be one of those situations where I’m going to need both editions on my bookshelf. What do you think? Have you started this series?
I still haven’t read the first but hoping to get to it soon.
Lynn
Read it now!!!! It’s amazing:-)
GAH! I need to get my hands on Ink and Bone first!!! And I agree, both covers are gorgeous.

Oh you must read Ink and Bone, Sara! I think you’d love it!
I have had Ink and Bone on my TBR for awhile, I have seen so many good reviews of it! Since this doesn’t come out until July of next year, I may wait to read it. The wait between installments makes me sad.. Lol

It’s such a great book, I hope you love it!
I loved Ink and Bone much more than I thought and am anxious to get this one as well. I have to admit, I almost like the UK version better, although I like the “let the world burn” tag on the first one. Thanks for sharing! That’s still too far away though!

I’m in love with the UK cover! Although it doesn’t match the UK cover of Ink and Bone AT ALL, LOL!
OMG! YES! How did I miss the cover and date for this one! 🙂 Very excited. Also, in a rare turn of event, I have a definite preference for the US cover.

I haven’t read the first one yet, but want to! I didn’t know a whole lot about it, but recently read a review somewhere that makes me really antsy for it.

It was soooo good! And I’m not a huge fan of YA these days, it has to be really good to impress me.
I went and ordered it last night. So many good reviews, it was a must!
