Welcome to Buffy’s Corner, where I take a look at what’s coming up this week on the blog! I’m linking up with The Sunday Post over at Kimberly’s blog, The Caffeinated Reviewer.
Happy Labor Day weekend to my American friends! I took Friday off work too so I’m enjoying an extended weekend here, full of books and Netflix and barbeque. The weather is very nice at the moment which makes it even better. Not much else to report, but I hope everyone reads something good this week:-)
Upcoming reads & reviews:
I’m finishing up two of my August books this week, so look for reviews of How Bad Things Can Get (a really creepy slasher/cult story from one of my favorite authors) and An Evil Premise (just started but already I love Vandelly’s writing, this is going to be good!). Next I’m diving into September’s books, starting with Breathe In, Bleed Out and Moonflow. Looks like Summer of Horror might be over on paper, but in reality it’s still happening, lol.
Other posts this week:
Tomorrow is September 1st, and you know what that means: I’m sharing my September TBR! And Wednesday is Future Fiction where I’ll share three new books/covers I’ve spotted. Now that Summer of Horror is over, I can take a bit of a breather. It was a pretty intense summer!
Summer of Horror Updates:

This is my last Summer of Horror update! Thank you to Barb, Alicia, Charlotte, Lynn, Veros and Zezee for their participation and awesome posts! A three month long event is pretty intense, and I appreciate seeing so many creative ideas.
Barb @ Booker T’s Farm: “We Are the Thing That Others Fear” – Vampire Books
Lynn @ Lynn’s Books – Horror Stories I’d Like to Read
Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense – Haunted House Books on my TBR
Charlotte @ Bewitching Books, Ravenous Reads – Cover Love: Gothic Fiction
In case you missed:
My posts from last week:
Summer of Horror Cover Love – Horror Books With Black Covers
The Bone Raiders by Jackson Ford – Review 3.5/5 stars
The Entanglement of Rival Wizards by Sara Raasch – Review 3.5/5 stars

Yay for the long weekend!! And An Evil Premise has an interesting title! I am curious to know more about that!!
I’m working on my review and it’s tough to write, lol.
Ooh, a long weekend sounds so nice. I always have Friday afternoon off, which is nice, but somehow it all gets lost to chores, ahaha. Hope you’re having a good weekend!
Thanks Nicky! It was great. Hope yours was too:-)
I’m happy for the long weekend too, though I’m using it to be a bit lazy and hide from all social events, lol. Thanks for hosting Summer of Horror!
I did nothing social at all! And it was perfect:-)
Long weekends are the best! Hope you have a fun extra day! I can’t believe tomorrow is September!
Stormi

Have an amazing holiday weekend Tammy! Love the Badger photo.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thanks Anne!
That’s the kind of extended weekend I can get behind ;D. And it’s great that horror books are front and center regardless of the season…
Dinosaur bone? LOL.
Horror is having a really good year:-) My husband calls those huge bones “dino bones,” lol.
Hope your enjoying your extra-long long weekend! Sounds ideal!
Thanks Lisa! It’s been lovely.
I hope you are enjoying your long weekend Tammy! It will be work as usual for me tomorrow 😉
Ugh, work! I hope it wasn’t too bad…
Hope you’ve been enjoying that bbq & chill! Glad you took an extra day off your yourself!
It’s been such a nice few days with no commitments:-)
Badger is adorable of course! Enjoy your long weekend. My plans for this weekend kind of went off the rail with an ER visit on Saturday. Have a good week!

Thanks Lisa! You too.
Having a long weekend is always a treat. Himself has a long weekend twice a month with his crazy shift pattern, which I really appreciate. I hope you are thoroughly enjoying it and that the coming week is a great one, Tammy:).
Thanks Sarah! I can’t believe I have to go back to work tomorrow, sigh.
Hope you had a great weekend, but it’s back to work now. Grrr.. 🙂
Ugh, it was so hard to go to work today!
