Waiting on Wednesday [267] – ONLY HUMAN by Sylvain Neuvel

Waiting on Wednesdays is the brainchild of Jill at Breaking the Spine, and because Jill isn’t hosting it any more, I’m now linking up with Can’t Wait Wednesday at Wishful Endings. Stop over there and link up your “Can’t Wait” book of the week!

I love this series, and I’m so happy to see a cover for the final book!

In her childhood, Rose Franklin accidentally discovered a giant metal hand buried beneath the ground outside Deadwood, South Dakota. As an adult, Dr. Rose Franklin led the team that uncovered the rest of the body parts which together form Themis: a powerful robot of mysterious alien origin. She, along with linguist Vincent, pilot Kara, and the unnamed Interviewer, protected the Earth from geopolitical conflict and alien invasion alike. Now, after nearly ten years on another world, Rose returns to find her old alliances forfeit and the planet in shambles. And she must pick up the pieces of the Earth Defense Corps as her own friends turn against each other.

Only Human (Themis Files #3) by Sylvain Neuvel. Releases in May 2018 from Del Rey Books. It’s not much of a blurb, but that’s OK. I’m very excited to see how this series is going to end!

Let me know what you’re waiting on this week:-D

  1. I saw the first one of these on Netgalley – and am still kicking myself for not having requested it… I will catch up with this series in due course as it looks fabulous – no wonder you can’t wait for the final instalment!

I’ve done that before, given away a book and then regretted it later:-/ Oh well, it’s not like we don’t have enough to read, right?

  2. reminder to self to read No.2 – at least I have a bit of time to catch up before this one comes out.
Thanks for highlighting it and jogging my memory.

I don’t always do well with keeping up with series, but this is one I’m up to date with. Hopefully you’ll get the chance to catch up too:-)

I’m going to have to go back and reread the ending before I tackle this, but I’m very curious to see how it all ends!
