Giveaway + Quiz! STRANGE THE DREAMER by Laini Taylor – Which Godspawn Are You?

Do you love fantasies about gods and magic? Do you love intricate world building? Do you love Laini Taylor? Then do I have a treat for you! Courtesy of Little, Brown & Co., I have one prize pack—which includes a finished hardcover of Strange the Dreamer—to give away to a U.S. resident. Keep reading to the end to learn more about the giveaway. But first, here’s more about the book, and I’ve got a fun quiz you can take to find out which Godspawn you are! And ICYMI, you can read my review of Strange the Dreamer here.

The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around—and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was five years old he’s been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the person of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance or lose his dream forever.

What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? What exactly did the Godslayer slay that went by the name of god? And what is the mysterious problem he now seeks help in solving?

The answers await in Weep, but so do more mysteries—including the blue-skinned goddess who appears in Lazlo’s dreams. How did he dream her before he knew she existed? And if all the gods are dead, why does she seem so real?

Welcome to Weep.

  1. All my dreams are insane. I never get the dreams that make sense when I wake, they are jumbled messes involving people I never met and random shifting settings that feel completely real while I am dreaming.

When I was a kid I had a vivid dream of a lion in my moms old truck though. I remember it because I had the same dream twice.

I rarely remember my dreams but I do remember having re-occurring ones when I was young about flying and it was amazing!

  3. When I took the quiz I got Sarai! Which is awesome because I love her character and ability. Thanks for sharing your review and hosting this giveaway!

Last night’s dream involved me running from the oppressors and giving away food and fun pop culture nerdy things to the oppressed. There was a lot of running and throwing!

  4. I have a lot of weird dreams! I remember a lot of things from my dreams as well. It is hard to pick just one weird one. I do dream a lot of being on a cruise ship that is set up like a casino, just a big casino, with hallways for the hotel rooms that are windy and confusing. And then sometimes in the dream it will change from a hotel to a college campus and dorm rooms.

I once had a dream that I turned into a dog, and I couldn’t get anyone to understand me.

  6. I have so many strange dreams, I have no idea which is the strangest. I do have recurring dreams, and I dream of my deceased grandmother often, and have done so for many years. These dreams are so vivid that I used to have to relive her death each morning upon awakening. The worst recurring dreams are those that involve me showing up for college exams unprepared (always a huge nightmare when I was in college). You’d think those nightmares would stop since I completed my M.A. many years ago. I know these aren’t strange dreams, but I can’t seem to remember any of my really strange dreams at the moment.

The strangest dream I ever had involved ancient Egypt, but I can’t tell you more: you would be too frightened and over-awed!

  8. Suz Reads

I always have strange dreams! One weird one was my backyard was full of wild animals – lions, tigers, panthers, deer, etc. In the dream, I was sitting on the couch watching tv and a deer was sitting on the couch next to me! Thanks for this amazing giveaway – I would love to win!

    • I rarely remember my dreams, but occasionally after watching too much 48 Hours I’ll dream I’m home alone with an intruder or something! Those I usually remember for a little while, anyway, because I wake up and have to sleep with a baseball bat near my headboard for the rest of the night Lol

  9. Jenelle

That eye mask is so cute! Had a strange dream last night, it involved being chased in this big building by my evil twin. So weird. So excited to read this book!

  10. Penny Olson

I tend to forget my dreams but the favorite ones I can remember are about flying. Nothing really strange that I can remember dreaming.

  11. I had a dream that I was looking for someone and every door that I opened led to another time in history. I would then touch objects in the other times and it would show me the memory of what I was looking for

  12. I would be like a dream therapists star patient – I have the weirdest dreams! I could write books about my dreams I think. My most recent ones seem to involve polar bears – what is that all about!
    Anyway, lovely giveaway.

  13. OHHHHHHH, THAT FIRST GRAPHIC! I love the animation with the moths. 😀 I took the quiz and got Feral, Cloud Thief! I’m okay with that. =) I’ve had a lot of odd dreams (most of which I don’t remember), but I have one in which I’m piloting a very large passenger airplane… and then it goes into a nosedive. But like, a never-ending nosedive. And then it crashes but I guess it doesn’t really crash because everyone gets out of the plane in the middle of a forest like nothing is wrong? Weird stuff happening in my brain…

This prize is AMAZING! I love that sleep mask. Neeeeed. Thank you for the chance, Tammy!

    Have a great weekend. =)

I have dreams often in which I’m pregnant or giving birth. They’re strange for me because I don’t plan on or want to have kids.

Love Bath and Body Works, so thanks for the chance to win!

I was laying on a bed, and I somehow knew that I was in an unstable wooden tower at the top. If I moved even in the slightest the tower would fall into ocean killing me. The whole time I was just dreading of deciding when to end it.
