Waiting on Wednesday [214] – DOWN AMONG THE STICKS AND BONES by Seanan McGuire

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers.

Won’t you all scream along with me? COVER REVEAL! I’ve been waiting for this cover to pop up, and I love it. It fits so well with the cover of Every Heart a Doorway, and I can’t tell you how excited I am for this book!

sticks-and-bonesTwin sisters Jack and Jill were seventeen when they found their way home and were packed off to Eleanor West’s Home for Wayward Children.

This is the story of what happened first…

Jacqueline was her mother’s perfect daughter—polite and quiet, always dressed as a princess. If her mother was sometimes a little strict, it’s because crafting the perfect daughter takes discipline.

Jillian was her father’s perfect daughter—adventurous, thrill-seeking, and a bit of a tom-boy. He really would have preferred a son, but you work with what you’ve got.

They were five when they learned that grown-ups can’t be trusted.

They were twelve when they walked down the impossible staircase and discovered that the pretense of love can never be enough to prepare you a life filled with magic in a land filled with mad scientists and death and choices.

Down Among the Sticks and Bones (Wayward Children #2) by Seanan McGuire. Releases in June 2017 from Tor.com. I’m not sure I can wait that long, jeez! I’m totally in love with this cover, it also suggests a magical doorway, which is what these stories are all about. Jack and Jill were side characters in Every Heart a Doorway, so I’m excited to read more about them.

Are you reading this series? Let me know what you’re waiting on:-D

  1. These are some of the best covers I’ve seen lately and I’m so glad this cover has finally been released. Words can’t really express how much I loved the first book and I’m really looking forward to reading the next installment. It’s sooooo far away though!

  2. I really enjoyed the first book but wish it had been a novel instead of a novella. I wanted more world building and character development! I am absurdly happy that there are follow-ups planned though. Thanks for sharing!
