Book Review Giveaway: Win a Book I Reviewed in June!

BRG 7-16

It’s the 15th of the month, which means it’s time for my Book Review Giveaway, where one international winner will get to select one of the books I reviewed the previous month. I only reviewed six books in June, but one of those books is already on my top ten list for the year. Before we get to the books, please congratulate last month’s winner:

Jaime L. chose Roses and Rot by Kat Howard (Excellent choice!)

In the wake of so much recent tragedy and violence and crazy shit going on in the world, I thought it would be interesting to look back over the past two-and-a-half years of Book Review Giveaways and see how many countries I’ve sent books to. Although most of my readers are from the U.S., I was happy to see many international winners on that list. The following countries represent avid readers who love books just as much as I do, and I’m thrilled that reading speculative fiction is a shared passion that transcends race, borderlines, politics, gender, and age. This is just a small sample of countries with people just like me who love to read:

Croatia * Portugal * United States * Greece * Canada * Argentina * Hungary * Slovakia * Ireland * United Arab Emirates * Czech Republic * Romania * Macedonia * Australia * Cypress * New Zealand * Chile * Philippines * India * Finland * Belgium * Brazil * Italy

Maybe this month I can add another country to that list:-)

And now, on to the books! You can click on the titles to read my reviews.

My favourite book that I read in June was Skyborn by David Dalglish. I can’t wait for the second book. Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  2. Anita Yancey

My favorite book from June was 15th Affair by James Patterson. Thanks for this chance.

  3. On your list, the book I read that I liked the best was Matt Wallace’s PRIDE’S SPELL. It was a hilarious, shocking roller coaster with a surprise around every corner!

Out of the books I read/reviewed in June, I think I loved Darynda Jones’ THE CURSE OF TENTH GRAVE, with Candace Blevins’ ONLY HUMAN & AN UNHUMAN JOURNEY close behind. It’s so hard to choose — this has been a great reading summer for me!

  4. I haven’t read any of these, but I am still smitten with the cover of Psychopomp and Circumstance.

I loved your list of countries you’ve sent books to – anything that reminds us of the things we share rather than the things that separate us is so important right now.

I haven’t read any of these, but I like the sound of Pride’s Spell. Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. Your review of Company Town got me really excited for that book.

I’ve been reading an eARC of C. A. Higgins’s Supernova, the sequel to Lightless. The banter between an engineer and an AI with a teenager’s brooding nature is my favorite part.

  7. Dan Denman

The Suicide Motor Club sounds really good to me. I have seen many good things about it.
