Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to showcase upcoming books that you’re excited about with other bloggers and readers. I’ve read several books lately about futuristic societies where computer implants are the norm, and I just can’t seem to get enough of this trope. So when I ran across this book, I immediately added it to the list:

Bluescreen by Dan Wells. Releases in February 2016 from Balzer + Bray. Not only does this have shades of Ready Player One, but the words “virtual drug” are seriously calling to me! I haven’t read Wells’ other books, sadly, but I definitely intend to check this one out.

Wow this sounds really interesting. I read Partials and wasn’t really thrilled with it, but I have heard great things about him and will probably give this one a chance.
