Happy Holidays From Me to You!

xmas card 2013 new small2

Here we are, near the end of the year, again! I feel the years go by so quickly these days, and after a while everything becomes a blur. So I wanted to stop and pause today and wish every one of my followers and readers a wonderful holiday, no matter how you celebrate! That photo up there is this year’s annual family Christmas card, so now you can see who I hang out with on a daily basis, including my dog children, Otis and Ginger. I’m shocked to see that BOTH my human children are now taller than me! (Even my son who is most likely slouching in that photo)

I’ve been in a real blogging slump lately, which isn’t going away. Maybe it’s because it’s the end of the year, I’m super busy with other things, and blogging just isn’t a priority right now. I’m hoping the new year will bring back some of the fire I feel for my blog and motivate me to change things up. While reading some “Best of the Year” posts about bloggers’ favorite books this past year, I’m depressed to see so many books on those lists that I never had the time to read, because I was so caught up in review books. I think that’s part of my slump problem, and I hope to change that aspect of this blog in 2014. Read more books that I want to read, and lighten my review load. I guess that’s everyone’s goal in a way, right?

But enough of that, already! I want to thank everyone who came to Books, Bones & Buffy this year, for whatever reason, and I hope you continue to read this blog in the coming year. I’m not sure what’s in store for BB&B, but I do know things are going to change. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, enjoy time with friends and family, and get some rest from your normal lives.  Here’s hoping 2014 is a fantastic year for all!

XO,

Tammy

  1. Happy Holidays, Tammy! I know what you mean about wanting to shake things up with the blog. I played with my blog theme for hours the other day before finally just leaving it as is. And yeah I’m a cranky blogger when I’m not reading what I want to read. Hope you find the balance that works for you and I’m excited to see what’s in store for BB&B in the new year!

  2. Lightening your review load is a great idea. I know what you mean. There are so many books I wanted to read this year that I wasn’t able to. Unfortunately, I always say I am going to do that and never get around to it. It’s so hard when publishers pitch you stuff that sound so good and you can’t keep your ass off NetGalley. Ugh. And now I have a ton of catching up to do, so I will be starting off 2014 behind in a big way. I’m gonna try to get it done though. I hope you had a lovely holiday!
