Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, and is a fun way to share the books you’re excited about with other readers and bloggers. When I saw the cover of this week’s WoW pick, I immediately fell in love with it:
Sublime by Christina Lauren. Release date: Fall 2014 (Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers). When I did some research on Goodreads I realized this is the author of the Beautiful Bastard books. This looks sooo different! I haven’t read that series yet, and it seems to have a very mixed bag when it comes to reviews. If you don’t know, “Christina Lauren” is the pen name for authors Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings. Here’s what this awesome-sounding book is about:
Sublime is the story of two teens, Lucy and Colin, who fall in love, but the problem is … Lucy’s a ghost.
Slowly, she begins to remember more about her life and death as daredevil Colin takes himself to the edge of death where their realities overlap so he can be physically closer to Lucy.
Lucy starts to wonder if she’s Colin’s salvation or the means of his demise.
I’m going on this one based on the cover. What do you think? Have you heard of this? Let me know what you’re waiting on this week!
Great pick! I fell in love with this cover too and the story sounds completely different to their other stuff *whispers* the first of which I read when it was fanfiction… Will definitely keep an eye out for this one 🙂
I’ve never heard of this book – though I have heard of the author – but WOAHHHHH I really like that cover! It is creepy and yet absolutely beautiful! And not just because there is a shirtless guy in the corner – though I love that 😉 I hope you read and enjoy this one, Tammy! I’m adding it to my TBR list right now 😀
Check out my WoW post!
Oooo, I like the idea that the girl is dead. Sounds like it could be a good one. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
My WoW
That cover is crazy awesome. The synopsis, eh, I can take it or leave it, but I want to read based on that cover. <3 <3 <3
Can’t wait to read this. I do like the Beautiful series, but I’m not sure it would be your cup of tea. Interested to see the authors try something new!
Good day! This post could not be written any better!
Reading this post reminds me of my old room mate! He always kept chatting about this.
I will forward this post to him. Pretty sure he will have a good read.
Thanks for sharing!
