Cover Reveal! SHADOWPLAY by Laura Lam (Micah Grey #2)

I’m thrilled to be part of Laura Lam’s cover reveal for the second book in her Micah Grey series, Shadowplay! I loved the first book, a strange and wonderful mixture of circus story and coming-of-age tale, and this one sounds even better. You still have a bit to wait, since Shadowplay doesn’t come out until January, but that gives you time to catch up if you haven’t read Pantomime yet.  And now (with a magician’s flourish!) I reveal to you…

Shadowplay (Micah Grey #2) by Laura Lam. Release date: January 4th 2014 (Strange Chemistry). I love this cover. It’s intriguing and magical, and it fits really well with the cover of Pantomime. Here’s the description:

The circus lies behind Micah Grey in dust and ashes.

He and the white clown, Drystan, take refuge with the once-great magician, Jasper Maske. When Maske agrees to teach them his trade, his embittered rival challenges them to a duel which could decide all of their fates. People also hunt both Micah and the person he was before the circus–the runaway daughter of a noble family. And Micah discovers there is magic and power in the world, far beyond the card tricks and illusions he’s perfecting…

A tale of phantom wings, a clockwork hand, and the delicate unfurling of new love, Shadowplay continues Micah Grey’s extraordinary journey.

  1. I haven’t read the first. I’ll have to pop over and take a look at your review now. I’m not overly impressed with the covers sadly.
