Stacking the Shelves (21)

Stacking the ShelvesStacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and is an opportunity to share your latest and greatest books with other bloggers! This week I managed to restrain myself in the purchasing department, but of course I had to support my kids’ Scholastic Book Fair at school:) Here’s what I received (click on the cover images to go directly to Goodreads):

For Review:

Thin SpaceThe Nightmare AffairUnder Shifting GlassThe Inner City

Thin Space by Jody Casella. Release date: September 10 2013 (Beyond Words/Simon Pulse).  I am so excited that I was approved for this title…I’ve had it on my radar for a while now!

The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett. Release date: March 5 2013 (Tor Teen).  This story about a teen who is literally a nightmare—she sneaks into people’s houses at night and invades their dreams—sounds so good!

Under Shifting Glass by Nicky Singer. Release date: February 19 2013 (Chronicle Books). I won this from Library Thing. It’s a YA story about a girl who may have found a flask full of magic, magic that could save the lives of her critically ill brothers. A story on the quieter side with subtle paranormal elements.

The Inner City by Karen Heuler. February 18 2013 (ChiZine Publications). I’ve been lucky lately in the short story department. I’ve read quite a few fantastic collections, and these quirky and strange-sounding stories are the kind I love. Hopefully my good luck with collections will continue!

Big thanks to Library Thing, Edelweiss, NetGalley and the publishers listed above.

For Blog Tour:

Strangelets

Strangelets by Michelle Gagnon. Release date: April 9 2013 (Soho Teen).  This story sounds delightfully creepy: three teens from different parts of the globe all die at the same time—and wake up together in a strange place. Wow! Thanks to Itching For Books for including me in the blog tour.

Purchased from Scholastic Book Fair:

Code Name VerityDust Lands

I always try to buy something from Scholastic to support my school library, and since I’m dying to read both these books, well, what choice did I have?? I love this cover for Dust Lands, it’s stunning.

SUPER EXCITING BREAKING NEWS!!!

OK, I have to share—I just purchased Comic Con tickets!! After trying for what seems like years, I finally succeeded and will be attending this July! Here’s proof:

confirmationI am unbelievably excited, you have no idea:)

  1. Some great finds this week, Tammy! I meant to pick up a title at the book fair but I completely forgot! Can’t wait to hear what you think of BRR and CNV. The Nightmare Affair also looks awesome, and I’m eager to hear more about Thin Space.
    Happy reading!
