Waiting on Wednesday #22 – TOUCHING THE SURFACE by Kimberly Sabatini

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and is a great way to share the books you are “waiting” on with other readers and bloggers! This week I’m very excited about this book:

Touching the Surface by Kimberly Sabatini. Release date: October 30 2012 (Simon Pulse). I’ve been reading Kimberly’s blog for a while now. I think I may have been introduced to this book during the first Apocalypsies event, and during that time I subscribed to her blog. Although I’ve never met her, Kimberly is one of the funniest, sweetest and most interesting authors I’ve come across. She is always happy and genuinely excited about the fact that her first novel is going to be published soon! I love reading her posts, and I can’t wait to read her book. Here’s what Goodreads has to say:

Experience the afterlife in this lyrical, paranormal debut novel that will send your heart soaring. When Elliot finds herself dead for the third time, she knows she must have messed up, big-time. She doesn’t remember how she landed in the afterlife again, but she knows this is her last chance to get things right.

Elliot just wants to move on, but first she will be forced to face her past and delve into the painful memories she’d rather keep buried. Memories of people she’s hurt, people she’s betrayed…and people she’s killed.

As she pieces together the secrets and mistakes of her past, Elliot must find a way to earn the forgiveness of the person she’s hurt most, and reveal the truth about herself to the two boys she loves…even if it means losing them both forever.

Doesn’t it sound amazing? And the cover is so beautiful. You can visit Kimberly’s blog here.

What are you waiting on this week?

  1. Well when a summary starts with “When Elliot finds herself dead for the third time…” it’s bound to raise a lot of questions so I would love to get my hands on a copy. The book definitely sounds interesting and I will add it on my to-read list! Great pick!
